1. Can not lock it. maybe if you alter it yourself
2. clamps are on opposite ends and over clamp really tight so case eventually warps and you are left with this giant gap all around. look in the profile picture they have posted here.
3. removable tabs are cut all wonky. if you carry your equipment in this you will very quickly start carrying it like a sack of potatoes as these flimsy removable sides will scare the stuff out of you. the tabs are for the wires to fit to the console and for collecting rain water.
4. odd random dents
5. just seems like they did 75% of the carpentry and were like "Thats good enough." .
un-finished corners ,
seems. glue and wood exposed.
Biggest irritant is........... I hate this case.....probably these gaps though. like this is a flight case. you should be able to take a flight with it. an s8 wont make it onto you over carry most likely.
so i have to trust my expensive equipment in this case?
while baggage handlers and all maybe just throwing it around. im sure they wouldn't, but they should be able to if I spent $249 on it. Not impressed with native instruments at all. Long & Mcquade is an awesome store though. They didn't build it. Native instruments , im pretty sure they used native tools to make this over sized lunch box.
