Not bad. As far as soprano recorders go, Yamaha is the best and Dollar Store recorders are not true instruments. Everything else is somewhere in between, but I'd rank Prelude up nearer to the top and Angel nearer to the bottom. After 10 years of being used by children, the Prelude bottom piece sometimes becomes loose and I've had to glue the middle piece and bottom piece together. But the sound is okay, not as clear a tone as the Yamahas, but in pitch nonetheless with 440. Reliable little instrument. Okay for beginners.
