The GRAMMA v2 (Gig and Recording, Amp and Monitor, Modulation Attenuator) is an incredibly effective patented device that's used to float an amp or loudspeaker. I've been using the Gramma pad for quite a while now under my various bass cabs and have found it to be astonishingly useful at doing exactly what it claims to do providing a more focused, reduced resonance sound when the stage is interfering. It's absolutely essential for me when playing on risers (festivals, conferences) or hollow, wooden stages (schools, church halls, Legions). You pretty much have to try it in one of these situations to get a real feel for its value, but it's about the best hundred bucks I've spent in a long while. Downside? Well, it's one more thing to carry to a gig (rats), and the foam on the bottom needs some care to keep it from getting beat up/tearing. Minor stuff though. Very, very valuable for a bassist.
