My family band and I bought a lot of recording equipment to start making our music. We were on a bit of a budget, so we bought these to mic up the drums as overheads. They are extremely cheap, and provide great sound. The snare is a little bit loud, and you will need a different mic for the bass drum, but overall they provide a balanced drum sound. If you want to check out some example sounds of the drums go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szCVbAs5s4Y
