I am a professional broadcaster, musician and voiceover artist who's been recording and mixing at home and in studio for over 30 years. I've owned a great many sets of headphones, good and bad. I have owned a set of M30's (same phones but they don't fold) for over 2 years and I am VERY impressed. For a sub-100 dollar set of cans, these are comfortable. sturdy, and, best of all, exceptionally good sounding phones. They are quite flat across the spectrum...in other words, not 'smiley-face EQ'd' like a set of Dr. Dre's. For cans in this price-range, they have nice detailed highs, punchy mids and extended but not over-hyped lows... all-in all, they give a nice, fairly-accurate representation of music and speech and are pleasant enough to hear and comfortable enough to wear that you won't get fatigued over the course of a long session.
All-in-all these phones are a great buy, and a worthy little brother to the much-lauded ATH-M50's! Much like the M50's, they are a fantastic bang-for-the-buck set of cans and compete well with headphones costing twice this price.

Sitting at an easy to swallow $80 these guys offer excellent range, with crisp highs and good lows. While not as excellent or flashy as the M50's at less then half the cost you're getting at least 80% of the M50's quality.
