Description
Custom Series wires feature medium-gauge wire with evenly spaced, standard coils. The Custom line offers four different strand configurations that can be employed to change the balance between the drum and snare components of the sound. Models with more strands tend to allow the snares to be more active in influencing the sound while those with less strands allow the drum to be more prominent in the overall sound.

i've bought many different puresound wires over the years and love the sound of these concert ones in particular. when they work they sound great, but lately it seems like qc is slacking hard.
protruding beads of solder and/or end plates already slightly bent right out of the bag of shape make for a difficult wire to get a clean sound out of. the solder issue is easy enough to fix with a file, but for this premium price and still requiring extra labor just to get the wires laying flat on the head?

I've had cheap Gibraltars last for ages; I'll go back to their product.

The easiest upgrade for any snare drum, I've yet to find a snare that doesn't benefit from the change. Puresound pretty much invented this space, and while the prices have gone up 50% over the years, it's still okay value considering you only need to do it once and great sound is forever. Tight, controlled, snappy, pair with a decent bottom head and you'll never need to touch that side again, except of course to tune.

Great snare wires. Durable, sound amazing and good value for the price. I haven't experienced any issues with the wires on the drums I have installed these on. An affordable, professional grade set of wires.
