The blue cable snare string is the standard snare cable used by Puresound on most of our product line. It's high durability and resistance to stretch, as well as its ability to compress and hold tight in a drum's strainer and butt clamps, make it the ideal snare wire attachment method. It's also ideal for suspending high-end triangles for concert percussion set-ups.

Bought these to replace the stock 20 strand wires that came with my REMO snare. My stock wires were 21 years old so I thought I would try these because I heard great things about them, and Gibraltar is an affordable, quality brand.
After installing them and tuning the snare up I noticed the dramatic and immediate response in snare sensitivity when I hit the snare, it sounds fantastic! Perfect for my ghost notes, I get a proper response from the snare which wasn't the case with my old wires! I highly recommend trying these wires before going to spend $$$ on PureSounds.
