The original pick ups squealed badly .. swapped a hot bridge and strat for the neck more overdrive but clean was kinda stark .
Installed these .. great sound .. the real magic is when the guitars volume is rolled back .. the texter gets clean but not thin sounding. The bridge sounds great with tone know full off. These pups really brought this guitar back to its signature sound

I bought a Fender Broadcaster and the blackguard pickups are great except, it made me rethink the pickups on my 52 American Vintage Reissue, so I put a set of the nocasters in the 52 and what a fantastic improvement. The vintage pickups I thought were pretty good but these are much better. They give you all the bass and midrange of the vintage but with a bit more treble. The notes now are much clearer with more volume and detail, like layering an acoustic touch over the sound. It also can give you earlier breakup on a pushed amp without loss of clarity. Think Brad Paisley tele tone.
So, if you own a vintage tele and looking to replace the pickups these are a fantastic tele pickups.
