Do not buy these mallets. They are extremely overpriced and sound/feel like garbage. The first problem was that it took approximately 3 months for me to receive them after ordering. These have no definition or clarity in any register of the vibraphone. I'm mostly a jazz player, so I look for mallets with speed and articulation - NOT THESE. They are very heavy and the shaft is super thick. You might be better off getting a drum stick, sticking a tennis ball on the top, and playing vibes with that than using these mallets. You can buy $30 pairs of mallets that sound and feel far better than these. Disappointed.
