Since 1980, the Shubb capo has set the standard against which all others must be measured. It is the first choice - often the only choice - of more than a million musicians worldwide. The serious guitarist will settle for nothing less.

What makes the Shubb capo so special? For one thing, its ingenious design: a patented locking action which provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place...and removes it just as quickly.

And the Shubb capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary!

Precisely machined of brass and carefully hand assembled, a Shubb capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a guitar neck and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence.

The best capo I have found, but it does require 2 hands to easily put in place.

This is my 4th Capo I have bought. First one back 40 years ago and the last two the clamp on type. I have found that the clamp on types are often very hard to open up and their strong tension will often put your guitar out of tune. I almost gave up on Capos till I seen this one This one is perfect and so easy to put on and it does not put one string out of tune. I am totally impressed with the quality and how easy it is to put on with no effort at all. It may cost more than the cheap ones but worth every dollar.

Just received my Capo today, July 31, 2017 and it was super fast shipping. This is my 4th Capo that I bought. My first one I bought in the dark ages around 1968 and its the old screw on type. Then a few years ago I bought the new clamp on type. The first clamp on type was really hard to clamp on and it put the guitar out of tune very easily. So just 3 weeks ago, I bought another clamp on Capo with great reviews and found it to be even harder to clamp on and it can also put the guitar out of tune. Now both of my clamp on Capos are not a waste of money as they can be used in body building to strengthen your hands. So being an optimistic person I told myself that there must be a Capo out there somewhere that is super easy to put on while keeping your guitar in tune. So I came across this one and the reviews were positive and I decided with some apprehension to buy this one. And Wow, am I ever impressed. This is perfect. It fits my Epiphone ES 339 Electric guitar perfectly and it is so easy to put on and no strength needed and so easy to take off or move up or down the fret board and not one string is out of tune. And yes this cost 5 times more than my other Capo's and is worth every penny. I would now even buy it if I lost it and the new price was say $ 100.00. I am totally impressed beyond my wildest expectations on the quality and how just perfect it is.

This is my first capo so I can't compare it to others, but I can tell you that it's easy to use, and it's well built. It looks good, it's easy to install and adjust, and it works great. It's well worth the price.

I had the planet waves before this one and temporarily misplaced it and I'm very glad I did. I went out to buy another planet waves and saw this one , decided to give it a try. Both are good capos but this shubb keeps the guitar much closer to proper tuning, only giving just enough tension for all the strings without buzzing. Easy to use, costs a few bucks more but well worth the difference....
