Where TubeMeister is stunning, TubeMeister Deluxe is simply jaw dropping. Deluxe tones take you from pure, pristine cleans to an authentic brown sound and devastatingly powerful modern-day high gain, all influenced by the most beloved channels of the flagship TriAmp Mark 3.

Whether you rock on stage, play at home or record at night, TubeMeister Deluxe 20 is the ideal amp. The real power soak lets you switch between the full 20 Watts of power, 5 Watts, 1 Watt, or even 0 Watts for truly silent recording at any time of day or night.

TubeMeister Deluxe 20 is also the first tube amp ever to offer you a genuine FRFR (full range flat response) amp sound experience. The groundbreaking Red Box AE (Ambience Emulation) DI output lets you connect your guitar direct to your recording setup or the PA, so it's perfect for stage and studio work - and it delivers a perfect mix of authentic 412 cabinet ambience effects and an ultra-direct attack of pure tube tone.

Q & A

Question: Can I use my Traynor YCX212 cab (4ohm impeadance) with the amp?
- asked on Jan 24, 2024
Answer: No - this amp can handle a 16 or 8 ohm impedance. It doesn't safely go down to 4 ohms which would draw more power than this amp can supply.

I guess this amp has a niche and it fills that role fantastically, that being as a head. I wanted to use this for recording, and was disappointed. The clean channel is quite good, with a very warm tube sound that can be overdriven a bit for some great blues sounds. But the lead channel doesn't do it for me. Even with the red box emulator, the DI sounds fake, or somewhat digitized. You can only do so much to adjust it, and though it comes close to good, there's always that bit of high end, tinny buzz present that just screams "line out". To be fair, the emulator is designed to model a 4x12 cab rather than a 1 or 2x12 combo amp, so the lead channel overdrive is pretty hot, but for studio work it's quite limiting.

Wicked little amp. Sounds so clean and vintage when you want to crank the gain on the clean channel. Brings my tele alive. The gain channel/ lead channel is very cool. I don’t usually play with a lot of gain so take this for what it is but wow. I was sustaining notes for what felt like Minutes at a time. Such a nice blend of distortion and clarity it makes you want to keep flicking it on. I was Marshall through and through but now I am H and K. Excited to try the 40w 4 channel model!

Bought it yesterday and I love it. The attenuator is what sold me. Great tone in either channel at 1W through 20W. The two channels is a bonus and the boost really wakes up the gain channel. The clean channel is amazing. Strongly recommend giving it a try. Thank you Richard at Scarborough South for helping me out.

I have never wrote a review for a product... ever. However this little amp made me feel the need to write one. Absolutly love this amp, it is my new go to for jamming, recording and gigging. Fat crisp cleans and thick lusterous leads and everything in between. I’ve owned mesas, Marshall’s, oranges, fenders and all kinds of other amps and this is my favourite tone I’ve achieved yet. I bought this used For a decent price and I’m glad I did, if your thinking of getting one, do it!

I tried it out at the store and thought the original price was a little steep. Long and mcquade put them on sale with 200 bucks off the original price so I bought it. Great sounding head clean or on the gain channel. The boost button doesn't seem to distort the sound much it just increases the volume which sounds really good. The fact that you can switch it from 20 to 5 or to 1 watt is nice as you keep the same tone just not as loud. It shares an eq I for both channels which isn't real handy. Overall it's a great little amp. The other bad thing is it doesn't come with a foot switch. It has a jack for one but it it doesn't come with it. Other than that, the thing works and looks great.

I got this amp after trading in the tubemeister 5 head. The deluxe 20 is a definite improvement over the standard tubemeister lineup. Very flexible signal out (the built in power soak is indispensable) with either dry out (post power tubes!) or a built in cabinet emulator which is actually pretty decent. I typically run without the emulator and use commercial impulses (Rosen digital, own hammer, etc) I primarily play metal. This amp does have a lot of gain. BUT, it's a little on the flabby side. To get a good tight metal sound, you should absolutely use a tube screamer in the front. With the screamer in front, it's a very capable metal amp with a strong midrange and punch. I feel it will hold its own against the more iconic 5150s and the dual recs. It's worth trying out!

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
