The latest model in the 5th Avenue line-up features a Cutaway body design and the added sounds of two Godin Kingpin P90 single-coil pickups delivering all that classic, vintage tone with presence, clarity and a little attitude thrown in for good measure!
With the soul of a 1950s archtop, the 5th Avenue is a true vintage spirit of yesterday with todays level of modern playability. With more projection & volume in the low/mids than traditional archtop acoustic guitars, the dynamically rich tone of the 5th Avenue makes this sophisticated instrument a dream to play, but not a nightmare to pay for. The Godin 5th Avenue now makes the affordable North American archtop guitar a reality! From Alt-Country, Delta Blues, Slide, Jazz to Rock, the 5th Avenue can really deliver both acoustically and electrically.
Made from Canadian Wild Cherry, the body of the 5th Avenue features a molded arched top and back, as well as an adjustable bridge, classic f-holes, contoured high-gloss headstock, floating pickguard and cream binding. Also, the rustic beauty of its Custom Polished Finish creates a gorgeous satin sheen reminiscent of the French polish of the 19th century.

Got this guitar for christmas and I love the tone that it has. This is my first arch top guitar. I have played a few gretsch guitars such as the setzer models and the sparkle jet. I like the sound that this instrument produces and for just over 1000 dollars taxes in it is a steal.

Awesome sound and feel, the internal buzz I have it from the tone switch when it's in the centre position. But long and mcquade had Steve set it up and it plays beautifully with a lot of attack. Only change I would make would be to go to a hotter bridge pick up. Buy it

primarily an acoustic player but i wanted to be able to grunge out if necessary :) I tried this in the store , bought it a week later and plugged it into my Traynor tube amp ....
outstanding ... and when i didn't have my amp I found that it plays damn well even as a straight acoustic...worth every penny.
And now to get the one with the dreaded "throw it out of tune" bar :)

Bought mine in April and definitely my go-to guitar. Don't even touch my SG anymore. It's developed an internal buzz which I'll have to get checked out. Time for a set up now anyway.

I've had a King Pin II for several years. I had some original issues with mine too. Just little things like the bridge and poorly mounted pickups. But this is a nice stay-in- tune, improves with age instrument. I'd buy another one.

I bought the the Kingpin and hated it for a year until I got it set up. Re monuted the pickups so they fit level under the strings. Changed the bridge to a tuneomatic so I could set up the harmonics and actually get the guitar in tune in all chords at the same time. The guitar is nice and worth the effort and money if you are willing to get some work done to set it up. Godin could do better on monuting pickups and the electronics and then put a decent $20 dollar adjustable bridge on it. It is such a well made instrument otherwise and the fit and finish on mine is perfect. I'm glad I own it now.

Vous pouvez acheter des années supplémentaires de notre protection si vous souhaitez en profiter plus longtemps. Les tarifs sont les suivants :
- Produits NEUFS : à partir de 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf par année supplémentaire.
- Produits D’OCCASION : à partir de 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf pour passer initialement de trois mois à un an. À partir de 4 % pour chaque année de plus.
- Guitares : 4 % du prix actuel de l’article à l’état neuf pour passer d’un an à deux. 4 % pour chaque année de plus. Tarif maximum de 45 $. Une mise au point gratuite supplémentaire n’est pas incluse avec l’achat d’années de couverture additionnelles.
