Revitalizing the best elements from the past, the G2622 Streamliner Center Block Double Cutaway bursts into the modern music era with updated sound and style. Brash and feedback-resistant, the sleek G2622 is designed for the guitarist who demands more than the mundane from an instrument - more performance, more style and most importantly, more volume - while retaining all you expect from a Gretsch.
The secret to the Streamliner's sound is twofold - the Broad'Tron humbucking pickup and the spruce center block. Specifically designed by the expert engineers at Gretsch for the Streamliner, the high-output Broad'Tron pickup spawns robust lows, pristine highs and a throaty midrange for a unique tone that blends well with other instruments in a band context. A lightweight spruce center block runs the length of the body, reinforcing the top while eliminating undesired feedback for volume-friendly performance on rocking stages. The Streamliner's sonic power is harnessed and shaped by the traditional control layout - neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching. A fast-playing 12"-radius rosewood fingerboard with elegant pearloid block inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets sits atop the white-bound neck with a thin "U"-shaped profile - ideal for chord work or fiery riffing. Eye catching and great sounding. I had it ordered from the factory as it was out of stock at the store I go to, it took around 3 weeks. The only thing is it's not as brown coloured as in the photos, it's actually more cherry. I have had it around a month or so and it seemed to need tuning every few days. Sweet guitar!

I got myself one of these a little while back and I ended up returning it. For the price tag it was a nice guitar but it just didnt live up to what I would like in a guitar. It sounded nice, so dont let anyone say those pickups are no good or that a centerblock guitar isnt that great, because both are very nice. Lovely sound. The thing with this guitar is the once I started trying to roll on the valume I was shocked. I have also owned en Epiphone that I got for 250 bucks, and the valume and tone worked better than in this guitar. I would have to turn the valume up more than half way before I would get anything, and even then, it just came on all of a sudden. Keeping it in tune was hell as well, so I thought about replacing the controls, as well as the tuners, and then decided I might as well have gotten a more expensive guitar in the first place. So I returned it. Problem solved.

Guys. This is it. The best guitar for the money. Honestly, the tone of those pick ups is unbelievable. I can't believe this guitar cost me only $600. This thing is a jaw dropper too absolutely gorgeous. In my opinion Gretsch knocked it out of the park on this one.

This guitar is an amazing value. The sounds that it makes are incredible. I've always wanted a Gretsch and now at an affordable price I can. I recommend this to anyone, you can't go wrong. I play it through a Fender deville 212 and it's very versatile, clean or dirty it can do anything. The finish is great, controls aren't noisy. Very light too. Thank you chilliwack store.
