My concertina arrived promptly and playable, but as I began to learn some beginner tunes a few issues appeared. Again, playable, but these affected the ease and enjoyment of playing: buttons sticking, some notes slightly out of tune, extra air escaping the bellows. The biggest problem was that the air button got stuck after a few sessions - the spring got out of place.
I took my instrument into a local repair shop and was able to fix the minor issues for a small cost, but the technician recommended a full re-wax and re-tune and expressed dismay that a brand new instrument would have so many little issues.
Upon reflection, I decided to return my instrument for a refund. Another limiting factor I realized was that a lot of Irish Trad music is in the key of D, especially if you want to play with other musicians, but a 20-key C/G concertina cannot access all the D scale. There is no C# and only one F# so I was already running into limitations while learning tunes. A 30-key concertina would have a wider range and been a better choice perhaps.

This concertina gives more than value for money. It sounds true to the classic concertina sound with none of the off notes that come with much cheap models. I'd say this is worthwhile if you are a beginner or an established player. Of course there is always a better instrument but if you don't want to pay thousands of dollars but still have a playable instrument that sounds great, I would recommend this.
