Very cool little amp. It's kinda hard, almost impossible, to get bad tones out of it.

I love this amp. People like Don here in the reviews don't get it. It's a fuzz pedal in a box. You can plug right in, or use it as a preamp. It's a very honest amp, great for adjust your pickup height. Batteries last forever making it ideal for busking, or playing at the cottage. It's a lot louder than you will expect, and built like a tank. It's a classic for a reason.

Got my Pignose special edition snake skin and this little amp is fantastic, it looks great and takes pedals like reverb, delay and overdrive really well. I simply power it with a 9V 1-Spot on a daisy chain with pedals or use 6 AA batteries and both sound awesome. Rated quality a 4 because the fabric on the inside of the box was partially unglued.

THEE WORST Micro Amp On The Market 9 of 29 customers found this review helpful

I have a collecting habit and it dictates my consumer choices. When micro portable amps came on the scene it wasn't good enough to buy one or two, instead, I've bought each new one that is released, played through it for a few weeks and added it to the collection on the shelf. So far out of 10+ micro amps there is only one that I continue to use long after the honeymoon phase you go through with new gear. And I'm certainly not talking about this Pignose garbage. My Pignose amp is the WORST SOUNDING piece of crap I've ever plugged my guitars into. It has the sound quality of a 1982 Radio Shack clock radio with the speaker gunked up with 38 years of spilled soda, nail clippings, snot, and toe jam. It's dirty but not in a good way. Forget about playing it at top volume cuz it's just a broken up, hissing, static filled mess that you won't be able to shut off fast enough. I've got a ton of gear and this is the ONLY piece I feel compelled to let others know that they shouldn't waste their money on. It's just unbelievably crappy. And it doesn't have to be cuz there are other micro amps that get it right and sound great. Why Pignose can't do what Blackstar or Boss do with a micro amp is beyond me? If I'm gonna use a micro amp I usually go for the Blackstar unit - it's the best sounding and performing battery op. amp on the market. Pignose should be ashamed of themselves.

I always heard about these little amps and never really gave them much thought until I got one on a partial trade. I find I use it more and more around the house because it's quick and easy vs lugging a heavy amp to just noodle. Batteres last a very long time also. Get yourself one you won't be disappointed!!
