As nice as I liked these stands, after 60 or so uses, the locking handle threads became worn enough to prevent the stand from locking. Because of extra tightening needed to secure the stands, the plastic parts of the stand began to crack. Now GATOR Stands will not warranty any of the stands stating that the stands either took a hit or were over tightened and therefore will not warranty the faulty knobs or cracked parts. It took me over 8 months to get anyone to return my emails for help with the faulty stands. Bounced from the American head office to a so called Canadian distributor that took months to get back to me. If you have another choice in stands, please purchase them and avoid these. Obviously the metal in them is inferior and not worth the price of the stands if they will not honour the warranty.

Please disregard the product specs. The site here and even gator state 60lb limit. This is the piston aid weight. Contacted gator and the stand weight limit is 125lb. Yes, much more in line with others and now the price looks really good.
