TLDR: These are inferior in every way to the HD 25’s at not enough of a discount to make them worth it - BUT they are light.
They sound pretty good but not as good as the HD 25’s (they have a rolled off high end, slightly less low end and narrower stereo field) They still have the same great noise cancelling cups as the HD 25’s which is great. They look nicer than the HD 25’s in my opinion but by a small margin since only the band changed. They are exceptionally light which is an actual impressive feature but the HD 25’s weren’t even heavy in the first place. There’s a cable for each cup forming a V under your chin, when you pull them off you have to take both your hands off your equipment to do it AND there isn’t much room if you have a big head or wear a hat. The HD 25’s have a single cable so you can slide the headphones off with one hand easily, you can also remove them from behind your head (which I didn’t realize I do a lot while DJing, so the HD 25 Lights’ cables were pulling my neck) The cups also swivel around freely which was useless for me while DJing and had me re-straightening them. The cable is also extremely long like a skipping rope, I was stepping on the cable accidentally while DJing and realized that could be useful for someone in a recording situation but here it was in the way. The end of the cable is also straight instead of 90 degrees like the HD 25’s meaning you’ll bump into the cable and over time it will eventually break your input jack or cable. There is also no carrying bag in the box when the HD 25’s come with one. These were a strange choice to manufacture on Sennheiser’s part, as they make a package far superior for $50 more.
