This guitar is exactly what you pay for and expect. It's a cheap Fender. It sounds almost exactly like a regular Fender guitar it just has a couple bits that are finicky (ie the tuners being stiff). Definitely a great buy if you're looking into becoming a guitarist

Don't be a brand name snob. I bought this guitar 3 years ago because I wanted a cheap sunburst. First impression, I LOVED the feel of the neck and the weight of the thinner body. After a good set up, a PUP change to Texas Specials and replacement to Gotoh tuners, this is my go to guitar aside from my PRS. My Fender Delux Players strat has not left the case in 2 years because this Bullit is sooo much better. Just because they're aimed at kids doesn't mean they won't do really well for experienced players. Do your self a favor, buy one, dish it up and enjoy it.

"Just" a Squier, the L&M salesman said..."Nothin special". WRONG! I own several American made Strats and these Indonesian made Strats are even better in tone due to slightly less thick bodies. The tuners are stiffer, but for the price, who cares? A great buy for those who know.

I have played and owned "real" starts in the past, and the Squire Bullet I currently own, beats them all! Mind you, all is not perfect and I've had to perform a few modifications like changing the pickups, sheilding the pickguard, and correcting grounding issues, but the FEEL of this guitar is as good as anything costing several times more!

I got this guitar about a year ago. I have played in bands since I was 14 years old as a drummer. during these years, most of the guitar players in the group had the big time strads. During all these years I pick up their guitars just for fun, learned lost of chord, licks ect. So whats the point? I knew the differnce that guality makes. I bought this guitar for the sheer fun of it and when picked it off the rack at L&M and saw the price, the first thing that came to mind was, NO FREEKIN WAY! Well, after a few chords and licks I was TOTALY amazed. This is Good axe people. In closing; Take time to set up the tonation, string height etc. and above all, GOOD strings. You will be pleasently SUPRIZED. KEN P.

My original starter guitar broke, and I went to the store in search of a new one. I quickly noticed the Bullet Strat and played it for a while. It sounded great, so I bought it with what little money I had. Now, a year later, I have no regrets. Especially for a starter guitar, it is just amazing. I highly recommend this to any starting guitars who don't want to break the bank before they even know if it's something they want to do.

Picked this baby up as a beater guitar. I've got a Squier Affinity strat from a pack and an Epiphone Les Paul, both of which I love to death but didn't want to loan out. I'm running a guitar club at school, and needed to get a guitar that I can have someone drop and won't cry too hard. I went up to North York looking for a new one and found mine on the rack up front used for $100, and it's the best money I've ever spent. Sure, the sound quality is what I paid for but if I ever get serious I can get replacement pups. The guitar is the most playable guitar there. I was waiting for them to process it and tried one of the fender custom shops for a friend and found the squier just felt better. I really can't explain it, but it's one of the best plays out there. It's also built like a tank! If you're beginning or you want a guitar that you can be a little rough with, you need to shut down your computer and go get this guitar!

Great beginner Axe, I am over 50 and just learning, so glad I got this guitar. If you want to see if you would like to play guitar, but don't want to commit too much cash to start with, then take a good look at this guitar.

When I was first learning to play giutar, this was my first electric one. It sounded pretty good 3 years ago and it still does now. The plug on the guitar for the chord that hooks into the amplifier kept breaking. I was able to fix it but the last time it broke, I had to bring into my local Long and Mcquade stroe to get it repaired. It is VERY affordable and a great beginning guitar for me. I play punk and grunge on my squier and it sounds pretty good. It could use better sound quality though. Good guitar and is recommended for all beginner guitarists who want to rock!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
