This practice pad has a softer sound than the original remo parctice pad, however I find the rebound is not that great compared to other rubber pads like the Evans ones. The thing that I like about this product is that it is small and light, easy to carry it around for warm ups and etc. Overall, not a bad product but I would invest in a rubber pad for better rebound.

I personally never owned the original Remo practice pad that everybody claims is too noisy, but I do know that this Remo silentstroke is indeed quiet. However, the feel is not great in my opinion. Not a desirable amount of rebound at all... But, overall a decent pad compared to others
