Works with both my acoustic and electronic kits (I can hear the attack of the cymbal over the sound on the headphones). It feels and sounds just as it looks - like a live ride cymbal with a whole bunch of frequencies drilled out of it. Perfect in my home studio - and rehearsing with a four piece band. I found that it doesn’t play the same as an undrilled cymbal, but it’s close enough to be comfortable and easy compromise to get that volume and tone in a low volume setting. It wasn’t expensive; hence the perfect ‘value’ score.
