I have played violin on and off for many years, recently got back to it with an electric violin, and this is my first carbon fiber bow. This is definitely lighter than wood and a nice upgrade to an entry-level bow. The construction is excellent for the price and the hair seems like very good quality. Time will tell if it will stay that way.

I tried out a over a dozen carbon fibre bows in this price range at various stores in the GTA. The only one that I liked better was over double the price. So I can honestly say the Carlton was the best bow for the money.
