Description
Pure Blues electric guitar strings from DR Strings are designed with pure nickel wrap wire, roundwound upon round cores. While this is a slow, expensive method of string making, it does produce a guitar string acclaimed for increased sustain, vintage tone, and great low tones for playing music from rhythm to lead. The extra step of winding pure nickel around a round core give Pure Blues strings a punch that players say they are surprised to get in a vintage electric guitar string. Sounds great on any guitar!

the only strings I use now. warm and sweet.
I use the 9 46 on fender currently, might switch to 10 46 on at least one of them, and have the 10 52 on my Les Paul. Even have the pure blues strings on my bass.
I hate new strings and since I discovered pure nickel and especially these ones I don't have to endure a brutal break in period where I have to force my self to play, they just start out a tad bright then settle in to that woody thunk on the low strings that I like to hear.

They have a noticeably warmer and clear tone to my ear. Especially on guitars with P90s. No harshness, no thinness, no muddiness at all. The 9-46s are great for my older weak puny little girly man hands now. Haves used 10s and 11s in the past. My go to strings for the last ten years.
