This was my first practice pad. I purchased it almost 20 years ago. I thought I needed a more expensive pad so I bought a Real Feal pad afterwards. After all these years I can honestly say this pad is just as good as any other one I have ever played. The rebound is virtually the same as every other rubber pad. The only negative with mine is that it will not screw onto a standard cymbal stand. The tapped hole is too small.

This pad is PERFECT for pipe band drummers. It gives the perfect amount of rebound, forces you to do your rudiments properly and builds the drummer into EXACTLY what they need to be. I've purchased over 100 of these pads in the last 20 years and continue to recommend them to everyone regardless of drumming style.

I do think this is a very good practice pad for beginners, as long as you have proper technique. If you practice on this pad regularly with proper technique it's very effective for learning.

I realy like this practice pad that other guy that wrote a review is right that it does have a lot of rebound (it does not have as other ones) but it has the same as a real drum does and other ones have more so i highly recomend it for beginers. :)

I dont think this pad is very good for beginners. It has a poor rebound and if I didnt already use it I would have taken it for a refund. Kickin myself for not trying it at the store. It was very inexpensive so not such a loss.
