I've tried lots of splash cymbals, but all those high-end ones weren't the sound I was looking for. The Sabian B8 line isn't fantastic, but this sticks out. This splash cymbal has that cutting sound sound you want, and the lathing pattern makes it nice and washy, but not overly so. It has a nice little punch to it, which I really like; it's a little cymbal, but makes for a very nice accent to any beat. This is also a great price, surprisingly, and a steep price doesn't always mean a better product, so give this a try. ^^
