Schatten Design LP-15 Series Outsider Guitar/Ukulele Pickup with 10-Foot Cord

Additional Photos:
The LP-15 is an ultra slim, ultra light weight surface mount soundboard piezo pickup. Built in a new patent pending process, they are less than one sixteenth of an inch thick at only 0.049" (1.25mm). The pickup sensor is extremely light in weight (weighing less than 2 grams) and does not inhibit soundboard movement or vibration.
This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.). As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. The pickup comes complete with a 10 foot Mogami shielded cable and a standard 1/4"heavy duty output plug and is ready to plug right into your amp.

Q & A
Question: I don't have a separate amp for my ukulele. If I want to put this straight into a Yamaha StagePass600 powered mixer, do I go in through the HighZ input? Or do I go in through a vocal pre-amp. Or maybe get a DI box? Passive DI or powered? What is the cheapest and best sounding way? Should I think of this as essentially a microphone, but not a microphone needing phantom power?

Answer: You can connect it to your Hi Z input or you can get a DI box of any sort and plug it in to an XLR input. Plugging it right in to the mixer is the cheapest and easiest way.
