This calibrated set of Pearly Gates humbuckers packs tons of focused midrange attitude with raw Texas sizzle. It transforms any Les Paul style guitar into a classic rock outlaw.

The Pearly Gates neck captures all the mojo of the original neck pickup from Billy Gibbons' 1959 Les Paul. It is a P.A.F. with a unique tonal character, and more midrange than typical humbuckers from that time. The result is a neck pickup that cuts through with stronger tailored mids, but still has the open and airy treble attack of the alnico 2 bar magnet. Combined with a warm, spongy low end, this pickup is great for both rhythm and lead playing. The alnico 2 bar magnet keeps the high end sounding airy but focused, and the midrange emphasis gives it a unique Texas sizzle. It really has a growl all its own, and will help to bring any humbucker style instrument to life.

Specifications:
• DCR: 8.21

Bought these from Gibson Custom Shop with the aged covers to drop in a 2000 Gibson LP Standard. These pickups usually appear in the Billy Gibbons Aged replica LP from 7 years ago that they only made a few hundred of. Probably sound the same as regular stock Pearly Gates.I was turned on to that sound from a YT vid that did a demo of that Gibbons LP They have a slightly more pronounced midrange over 57 Classics or Alnico Pro 2s that can be tuned out with EQ adjusment andvlowering the pole pieces and are lower gain and not quite like Gibson Burstbuckers.Still pretty good but not the best pickup out there for my tastes.
