This type of guitar is rare to find today. The only other guitar like it is a Fender bass 6. First off the strings are thicker like a bass not like a baritone. 6th string is in the 90s for size. I've read they come strung e-e but mine was a-a. I tried to get it tuned e-e but it buzzes like a fridge. I opted for baritone tuning of b-b. So be aware their might be varying quality control. This guitar is made in china, hence the price. Overall the build quality is excellent, the only weak points being setup and paint finish. The sparkle is excellent and the satin smooth neck is smooth but small imperfections in the clear coat. So watch for that. Frets had no burrs and were nice and smooth. Switches, knobs and tuners are solid and feel positive. Features are basic to keep the cost down but do work. The most original feature is the bigsby trem. It's like a bass with a tremelo. cool. only problem is the bridge doesn't have roller saddles. which makes the action of the bigsby harder. This also makes tuning more of a challenge. The value of this instrument can't be denied. There is very little else like it on the market, and not at this price point. If it was stolen I would probably buy another. which says a lot. Overall it's a niche guitar for those that either want more of a guitar like bass, or something different to inspire writing. Great for someone that plays melodic bass. finger style is a challenge as the strings are close more like a guitar. but if you use a pick it'll sound great. For those that want a moodier, darker tone this is a great tool. But make no mistake. it's not a baritone in the traditional sense. Will work thru a guitar amp or bass amp. Pickups are quiet, and more on the conservative side of output. It might be a try before you buy, since I don't think it's for everyone. Just the few that play outside of convention.
