pBone Plastic Trombone - Purple
Additional Photos:
7 models to choose from:
pBone is the world's first plastic trombone; it's a lot of fun but also a quality instrument, perfect for beginners and professionals. The Jiggs pBone comes in a smart carry bag along with a mouthpiece. A truly authentic musical instrument, the pBone has already started to revolutionize the way we think about trombones and brass instruments.
Ergonomic
The pBone has been thoughtfully designed to allow hands of various shapes and sizes to find a comfortable and effective grip of the instrument. This encourages good posture and the correct hand positioning. The ergonomic features of the pBone allow those with limited or restricted use of their hands and arms to engage with the trombone.
Robust
All ABS parts are extremely durable and the unique one-piece bell and gooseneck design is extraordinarily strong. The glass fibre slide tube is immeasurably stronger than fragile brass tubing and will withstand collisions that would demolish a traditional brass trombone slide. pBone may not be indestructible but it is certainly the most durable and robust trombone ever produced!
Fun
pBone is available in an array of bright and bold colours making it attractive to younger players. Beginners can leap into the playing experience without the usual concerns about mishandling or damaging a traditional brass instrument. So let the fun begin!

• 8-inch Bell
• Weight: 1.8 pounds
• Fabric carry bag
• Lockable slide

If you want to have some fun, the best way to do that is to take one of these babies with you on a night on the town. Hilarity is guaranteed. Want to be the most popular person in the restaurant? Whip this baby out and honk it up! Heads will turn and smiles will be on every face. Become one with the pBone!

total practice time has been 8 hours a day with this thing. the only thing that got tired was my chops( shoulders and arms usually tire out after 20 minutes on brass). This is straight up a real instrument and works just as well as a student model trombone for a quarter of the price. I recommend a metal mouthpiece to simulate a brass instrument. this wont replace a trombone but you looking to learn this is a great choice.

The pBone Trombone was an absolute joy to use at first. It produced delightful sounds that could be expected from an instrument of much higher value. But due to its plastic construction it lacked the rigidity of its more expensive counterparts. While I was using the trombone, it began to split at the seams. I am unsure if this was a manufacturing error or if this is how all of them behave after a handful of uses. As of right now, I can not reccomend this trombone to anyone who intends on using it more than a few times as a novelty.

this is an awesome product and I loved it at first. HOWEVER, it leaked air like CRZY and the glue FELL APART. it lasted me LESS THAN 4 MONTHS!!! As nice as it is, you should probably save for a METAL trombone...

It's ok overall, the slide doesn't slide smoothly, the black tube makes the spit from the spit valve black. Should have got a trumpet instead.

Do NOT buy this trombone. Your best best is to get a conventional brass one. It may seem like a cool novelty to have but that feeling wears off quite quickly. It sounds pretty bad. :(

i think that that the pbone is okay because the mouth piece is not to good but the sound the sound of the pbone is alot like the sound of a brass trombone but it can easily break i would say that this is a good insterment for a first time player

Heard about it from a friend and bought it it is magnificent love the sound but the slide is sort of noisy but overall worth it. I recommend it to professionals, students, or beginners!
