Dites bonjour à un visage familier : le nouveau VOX AC4TV.
En 1961, VOX a sorti l'amplificateur AC4. Près de cinquante ans plus tard, VOX a le plaisir d'annoncer l'AC4TV, l'ampli de pratique tout-tube avec un remarquable contrôle de soi. Cette version moderne de classe A conserve le tube de puissance EL84 de l'original et dispose d'un préamplificateur 12AX7, le tout piloté par un haut-parleur Celestion 10 pouces fait sur mesure. Le son sophistiqué est indubitablement VOX, délivrant ce son haut de gamme typiquement britannique.

Simple et sexy, l'AC4TV porte fièrement son pedigree. Les enceintes sont dotées de la même façade de téléviseur que celle de l'AC15 classique de 1958 et sont toujours utilisées dans la série AC15H1TV Heritage d'aujourd'hui. L'un des défis auxquels est confronté un ampli à lampes est de conserver une tonalité pleine à des volumes plus faibles. Pour résoudre ce problème, l'AC4TV est équipé d'un atténuateur de puissance intégré de 4 Watt, 1 Watt et 1/4 Watt, vous assurant de ne jamais perdre cette tonalité classique à lampe, même aux niveaux d'écoute les plus bas. Vous en voulez plus ? L'AC4TV ajoute également une sortie haut-parleur de 16 ohms, ce qui vous permet d'ajouter une enceinte supplémentaire telle que le VOX412BN et d'indiquer votre signature sonore avec autorité. I bought this model in 2012 at Port Coquitlam L & M. My go to amp at home. It gets better with age, although the original tubes have exceeded their time. I have more than enough amps and could stand to sell a couple but I don't I'll ever part with this, it's just to darn practical.

I have owned this for 2 years and bought it used from a local musician. It has gotten me hooked on the Vox sound (and small tube amps in general). The simplicity is the best part as there is nothing in the way to color the sound. At 1/4 watt this little gem breaks up soooo nicely and when you are at 4 watts you can still wake up your neighbours (careful with that). I really do think it is money well spent. Now if I could just find a VOX V412BN cab to hook into I would be in heaven.

I've been playing for decades, and I've used a lot of amps. I got this so I could practice at home. It was still plenty loud, even at 1/4 watt. I took it to a jam to check out the volume at club level. Excellent. No problem at all onstage (amps were mic'd). This is my favourite amp right now, and it's a great idea. Looking at getting the extension cabinet, and maybe a second amp.

I've had this amp for a couple of days now and I'm really happy with it. It has a clean, warm sound and compliments my effects like delay, reverb, overdrive etc, really well. I plan on getting the external 12" cab for it for a little more sound. It would have been nice to have a head phone jack for those late night tinkerings but other than that I find no flaws.

This, is my humble estimation, is/(Was?) the BEST "practice" amp out there. Excellent quality, amazing value for money, (and with some "time" effects and an OCD distortion pedal ...pfffff...nevermind!!). Even for "louder" playing, i.e. with your jam buddies who have larger amps...this little so-n-so, mic'd sounds, (again, in my humble estimation), every bit as good as amps costing 800-1200 bucks. That new "blue" 4W amp has some BIG shoes to fill.

I use this amp with the V112TV cabinet. It's the 12" version of the 10" that comes with the amp. The 12" has more range, and definitely louder and more bass. For a lead solo, you could just unplug the 12" and instantly have a higher timber that really cuts through. Also just bring the amp by itself to the cottage etc. to save space. I've tried this amp with a few other cabinets and they don't really sound much better than the one voiced for it (the V112TV) which is only $170.00. However the V112TV cabinet sounds really dirty and grungy with a more powerful and better amp. So swapping around is the way to go for different sounds. My recommendation is to have use of a reverb, chorus/flanger and distortion pedal with this amp. Buy the reverb first and go from there. Without a bit of reverb, this amp sounds really dry.

This is a great amp that's loud enough to play at a coffee shop. Very simple but classic Vox tube sound. The attenuator is a nice feature as the volume is the gain control so it has to be turned up before it distorts at all. I also recommend checking out the Lil' Night Train if you're looking for a small amp.

There's not much to this little amp, no effects, no EQ, no Tremolo, reverb, etc. It's super simple. However, for what it is, it packs a whollop. The sound it delivers has certainly surprised me, even at the 1/4-watt setting. For it's size, it delivers a warm tone and gets 'dirty' quite quickly. However, it's also very responsive to your touch and intricacies. It's not really a 'metal' high gain amplifier, unless you put a distortion pedal in front of it. With a high-gain pedal, it'll deliver, with the ability to translate your nuances for you and the rest of your listeners to hear. My only minor preference would be to have it loaded with a Celestion 25-watt G10M Greenback. That, powered by the amp's EL84's and 12AX7 would make this little buddy SING! However, having said that, the BEST feature is the 16-Ohm extension jack to allow you to plug into a cabinet of your choice. This feature alone allows greater versatility, especially if you already own a few different cabinets. This makes this Class A amp a great amp for studio use -- it's not so big in size or wattage, but it's huge in sound and versatility! I recommend it to anyone regardless of playing ability, or use. If you can afford a small quality tube amplifier, pick this one up. It'll enhance your playing and will give you years of good tone!

Excellent for beginners looking for a nice amp. Quiet enough for room playing, but packs a punch if needed. Only negative is that is doesn't have many features.

I've had this amp for 2 years and it has been great. Simple , fantastic tone, and on the 1/4 watt setting you can crank it up till it sizzles in a small room.
