The stand is indeed very light, however, for some reason the hinge/adjuster thing at the top to set the angle only allows a few discrete angles (like with gear teeth), instead of the usual freely turning mechanism. So it's always either leaning a bit too far back to see the music comfortably, or a bit to close to vertical to catch the light properly (and paper tends to fall over).

Never thought I'd get excited over a music stand but this thing is a nice piece of engineering. It's as light as a feather, sets up in seconds and feels much sturdier than other similar stands I've used. It also comes with a little carrying case which is a nice extra. My tablet feels nice and secure on it. It was selling for just under $50 and worth every penny of it. Thanks to L&M Guelph and Brian (hope I got the name right) in particular. Very helpful as always.
