My title says it all! But I’ll still say more. Bought these a while ago actually. Maybe 8-9 years back. I bought 3 pairs and used two pairs with my clients when they were close to vocal mic’s to prevent audio bleed. These things are suuuuper tight. And they kind of cut circulation off if you’re not careful. So. They really keep the sound in. I use Sony’s for checking mixes and more accurate monitoring. They are a bit looser and they sound MUCH better. But are very expensive. So these are great if you want to plop some mic’s on your vocalists and closely mic’d artists overall. But they will break. They’ll break like the dickens and they won’t even say sorry about it. I bought 3, had the first pair within a year. Now, the second pair didn’t break until last year. But they broke on the inside somehow. And I had been only using them personally as I haven’t been working with in house clients for some time now. So all I hear is “zzzzipzzzzzorp(bit of what I should hear)mufflemufflezappop”. Not the usual thing. So definitely buy them if you’re looking for something to use that isolates audio well. But do not check mixes with these if you’re going for a hifi thing. They won’t tell you what’s what. And expect breakage within a year of mild use (1-3 times a week for 1-2 hours at a time). You get what you pay for with these. Best thing about them is the pouches they come with. I use those for cab mic’s and small pieces I don’t want to lose. So…that’s something :)!

I’ve had these headphones for a number of years(about 8years), mainly used as headphones, they have a great audio response.

They sounded great in my setup until the moment I slightly flexed one of the ear cups in the wrong direction and the wafer-thin, plastic retaining clip snapped. Now there is no way to keep the ear cup attached to the headband and they are completely useless. Happened just outside of the warranty period, of course. Consider these a 12-18 month rental. If that math works for you, have at it. Otherwise, stay away.

Full time travelling live sound engineer. Needed new cans in a pinch, expected to pay 2-3 hundred bucks for something and left the store with the cheapest junk they offered after quickly demoing everything they had. Why? They're surprisingly clear with a decently flat response, excellent volume, they fold up, and the cord is removable/replaceable. I couldn't care less if I forget these in a venue somewhere because they're so cheap to replace. L&M has a great return policy so if they break in a few months, I'll get new ones haha! And honestly, most of us are there every few months anyway so it's no inconvenience to head in for a replacement 🤣 For my use, these are impressive cheap cans.

All around really good headphones, definitely not super durable, like some of the reviews are saying, just because they're a light bendy plastic, but the durability of the ear pads are great, they're not that wrinkled material that rips over time... They're the thick leather-ish texture similar to Dre beats pads. -Sound is really good, monitoring or mixing is easy -Long chord with the adaptor -Surprisingly comfortable. I've worn them for up to 13 hours straight, and wasn't in too much pain lol. -Last but not least, they're the perfect combination of open and closed, if you wear them for mixing, they really keep the sub bass in, but not too much where you can't hear anything else... but if you're recording vocals and you want to hear your voice, I just lift one side off slightly and it's perfect, I can still feel the bass and the groove but I'm not deaf to my voice and pitch. For the price, you can't go wrong

The sound on these was great until the right side speaker died. Used very lightly and only lasted for 4 months.

The Ups: Great price, flat response, very comfortable, light weight, removable cord, foldable, long cord. The downs: A little tight for those with a larger noggin, may have durability issues as they are pretty cheaply made. Overall: The sound quality is great for the price, they sound better than many headphones three times their price. Great for home recording or for an iPod. I've had them over a year and they are holding up well, even with daily use in the studio and out of the house. I'd highly recommend.

The hinge where it pivots so it can fold breaks easily, especially when you're moving the earcup to the front or back of your ear. Doesn't last long, hence the low quality rating. The sound is actually nice, something you'd expect from headphones around $100. It sounds better than Monster Beats Studio/Solo HD, because the response is quite flat and it's quite clear. Highs are crisp, mids are a *bit* lacking, lows are tight but are sometimes a little bit loose. The removable cable is a nice touch, although it doesn't really prolong the life of the headphone due to the weak hinge. You can't really hear anything while playing music, so acoustic noise cancellation is great. It's a pretty good value, but expect to buy a new pair every 1-4 months. Also, to give you an idea of how I take care of my headphones, I put them in the included pleather pouch, they are never brought outside, cable is always removed before and after, and I wear them with care but I sometimes put an earcup in front or behind one of my ears. Lasted me 3 months. The tight seal, and the closed over-ear design make these headphones great for tracking. They're decent for mixing but use monitors.

I bought the Apex HP-30 maybe 20 years ago. They survived everyday usage until earlier this year. This line is a good general purpose headphones, with great longevity.
