Pristine Recording and Playback
Inspired by the Zoom H-series recorders, the U-24 is equipped with high-performance, low-noise mic preamps (-119.5 dB EIN) that enable recording and playback at resolutions up to 24-bit/96 kHz. You can also use U-24 as a studio-quality headphone amp and listen to your favourite music in full fidelity.

Get Connected with the U-24
The U-24 is equipped with an essential collection of inputs and outputs for streamlined recording. Two combo inputs with independent gain knobs and multi-colour level indicators allow you to connect mics, keyboards, mixers, and more. 48V phantom power can be supplied to both inputs, and input 1 supports Hi-Z for connecting guitars, basses, or other passive instruments. MIDI input and output jacks allow you to use devices like keyboards, controllers, synthesizers, and drum machines.

Separate TRS and RCA output jacks provide multiple options for connecting DJ mixers, monitors, and other gear. Finally, an independent headphone output with dedicated volume control gives you complete flexibility while monitoring.

Your Mix, Your Way
The U-24 has flexible monitoring options for dialing in the perfect mix with zero latency. Balance the cue and main out signals when you're DJ'ing, or create a mix of click track and main out signals during live performances. Each connector and knob is strategically positioned for fast access, so you can set up and control the U-24 with ease.

I bought this because I needed 4 outs from my iPad for backing tracks (stereo track + metronome output, via the Prime app). This came with a few very useful perks: - Can run on battery, bus power or a phone charger (via micro USB port) - Bus power works through the iPad when using the Lightning-to-USB3 dongle from Apple and the iPad charger, so no need for batteries or a second power supply (but can still work on batteries if iPad is running on internal power) - Headphone output has mix knob to mix between outputs 1/2 and 3/4, so drummer can blend in a little backing track with his metronome feed Also, it has MIDI I/O so we could use a MIDI controller to control our backing tracks. Other things I've done with: - Record a whole gig as a stereo submix through the inputs, worked like a charm - Used as a standalone preamp (to run a mic into guitar pedals) by turning the mix knob fully to "Input monitoring" You could also use it as a preamp with phantom power for a camera rig. Only downside is I believe the inputs get summed when running in input monitoring mode, so forget stereo mic'ing this way. And of course it can be used as a straight bus-powered 2in/4out USB interface (4 out is useful cause you can have a different mix going to the headphones vs your monitors, plus you can easily mute the monitors or use the analog volume knob to control them). This ain't no Apollo, but it's an extremely handy device!
