When I strum a chord or pick a note, the sky opens up and heaven flows on the wind...true bypass, mono/stereo/programmable...does not change/ruin the dry signal when reverb is on. I chose HOF 2.0 over Boss RV6, I found the Boss sounded too bright/treble for all reverb modes.

I had the HOF 1,0 for a few years that replaced a Boss RV6. It sounded more natural and warm to me. Then I heard the Oceans 11 and tried that but found it unnatural sounding and thin. Too bad. Despite way more settings the only setting that was good and authentic was the spring reverb. So I went back to the HOF, this time the 2.0 version. Despite a few less settings than the older pedal it sounds so warm and natural. The only bummer is the spring reverb just does not have that "drip" to it like Oceans 11. It also has three Tone Print slots whereas the original had one. Icing on the cake I say but there are some presets to check out as they have other effects like delay or chorus with reverb to beam into your pedal via the guitar pickup.

Using it on bass. Very versatile. Loads of options. Great sound. I use it with decay and fx level very low and provides an awesome richness to both low end mids and upper notes. I little pricey... maybe... as I do love it.

Dark washed out sounding reverbs and the mash button is a joke.....the oceans 11 reverb by ehx is far superior and cheaper to buy.

Great pedal. I currently own this and a Digitech polara and this sounds more natural. The digitech has its place but this pedal sounds natural with all the amps I own. I have owned other reverbs before like the EHX cathedral and BOSS RV (sold em long ago because of the lack of natural tone). I have also tried the EHX holy grail and Alesis nanoverb but compared to all of them, this sounds the most natural to me. I use this instead of the spring reverb in my Fender Deluxe RI!

I had been looking for a small-ish pedal to do spring on my reverb-less amps and church/octave reverb for special effects on some other amps. Just like the original HOF, this thing sounds great! I have an M5, a Holy Grail, and a TC Skysurfer as well, but this is by far the most full service and best sounding of the lot. The spring is authentic sounding compared to my Twin Reverb (as is the spring on the Holy Grail), and the Church mode is very good. What I dig the most is the shimmer - especially with the MASH expression control. I was a little sceptical about the MASH, but it works as advertised. I got my unit and gigged with it that night - it was super intuitive and super useful. For all those times when you want to swell in a little more reverb or a little more of the octave up sound, it acts as almost a second instrument. I've always loved expression pedals on delays and reverbs, but it's such a pain to lug and connect a pedal for your pedal :( This MASH design is a great solution and opens up the pedal as more of an expressive tool. Now we just need a Flashback 2.
