5A sized in the grip with a gentle taper and an acorn-style bead that puts out great tone from around the drumkit. A very well balanced, responsive and solid feeling stick.

Q & A
There are currently no questions for this product.
I purchased these sticks as a result of a clumsy & anxious pre-gig morning. I have nothing but good things to say about these drumsticks. They are superbly well-built. Made with 100% American Hickory, spun on a back-knife lathe and then properly coated in lacquer. The only gripe I have is with its price tag.
The sticks feature a standard 7a .540" shaft and a small round tip. Bespoke for jazz; r&b; studio jams; etc. The round tip and well-balanced taper provide a clean and clear cymbal definition and vast control over dynamics.
You may also appreciate Vater's reliability & durability. These sticks have well lasted beyond 3 months. And I shall continue to play with them.

The sticks are in a conventional 7A hickory dowel. Nice solid grip, no weird grains, perfectly pitch matched.
The small round tip gives you lots of playing dynamics & cymbal definition. Excellent sticks for jazz & funk. I also appreciate the extra 1/4" length to the stick, giving you more leeway when playing traditional.
The sticks are excellent in almost every way but the price. But if you're a seasoned jazz drummer or student, you will appreciate them just as much as i do.

The rebound is pretty good, feel is great. Its a good size and the reach is perfect for jazz stuff. I'd definitely buy another pair or two. I wish the store carried them in a nylon tip, the wood is a little iffy to me after a while, and I suppose it's natural.

Love these sticks. had a Friend recommend these about a year got a pair and never looked back. Everyone who I let try them loves them as well. Not extremely durbable (the pair I have right now has lasted a few months but there was a move in the middle of that. On average I would say they last(unused to usable chipped, snapped, ect) two to three weeks drumming three-five hours a day.
