Not a very reliable or accurate tuner at all. It gets the strings in the right range for the low E, A, D strings, but pretty inaccurate for the G, B, E strings. Not worth $40 at all when you can get the same not so great results from a $10 clip on tuner.

This is a good value tuner when it's half price. A feature some players may not need but is awesome to have...select the chromatic setting so you can tune your guitar with alternate tunings. (What? You don't use alternate tunings?) And the swivel feature is better than some other clip-ons I have.

I wanted a tuner for my Martin D28 MD that gave me all of the functionality I was looking for, but would be discreet as well. The Equinox clips on the head and, because of the ability to turn it multiple different directions, I can have it on the back of the head where only I can see it. It tunes the guitar to a perfect pitch - no additional fine tuning required once you hit the sweet spot.

Now you might think that everyone knows how this tuner works, right? It's not always so obvious. I've been using a cellphone app tuner for a year now and thought that clip on tuners would work the same - using auditory signals. I placed it on my music stand and when it didn't work, I thought the battery had died overnight. D'uh! Clipping it to the headstock isn't just an option, it's the ONLY way this device works. Maybe instructions are included and just mine was without. If not included, please start.
