The Oasis OH-2 Digital Hygrometer accurately measures relative humidity, helping you decide when to protect your instrument with the Oasis Guitar Humidifier (sold separately). Because relative humidity varies even inside your home, it is recommended that you keep your hygrometer near your instrument.

These hygrometers are great if you want to know what's happening inside your instrument case. I bought two and they give identical readings when they're in the same environment, i.e., a guitar case with an Oasis humidifier.
Be aware that they don't read humidity below about 23% (the RH display reads "LL"), which is too dry for any wooden instrument. The hygrometers should also be calibrated with a Boveda One-Step Hygrometer Calibration Kit ($8.49 from amazon; reusable, and good for three months). Both hygrometers were off by 3%, on the low side. Easy enough to adjust.
