This is a pretty good little monosynth. The patchbay is a nice plus. It's not as aggressive sounding as the original Minibrute, but it's a bit more flexible because of the "dynamic headroom" of its more tempered sound. Big improvements over the original include: The addition of a second LFO and a second audio-range oscillator (which can also be used as a third LFO). A sequencer AND arp (the original/SE had only one or the other). A eurorack compatible patchbay allowing for endless possibilities An improved keyboard (IMO) Is it worth twice the price of the original? Well, If you don't think you'll use the patchbay, or can live without a second, independently tunable oscillator, the original Minibrute is still a great synth. I will be keeping both.
