Hot-rodded for breakneck performance, versatile sound and exquisite style, the Pro-Mod series is packed with innovative design elements that have long made Charvel a legendary name in high-performance guitars. Continuing upon that legacy, the Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HH HT M is tricked-out to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of today's modern guitarist.

This high-octane instrument offers an alder or ash body and a bolt-on two-piece maple neck with a pair of graphite reinforcement rods to resist bending and warping under environmental stresses. The speed neck profile and 12"-16" compound radius maple fingerboard are designed for warp speed playing, unhindered positional shifts and mile-wide upper register bends without fretting out, while the heel-mounted spoke wheel allows for quick and convenient truss rod adjustments.

Designed to inspire, this instrument sports two high-output Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups - a crisp, clear JB bridge pickup and a rich, fat '59 neck pickup for robust tone with highly dynamic articulation and harmonic balance. The volume control conceals a push/pull coil split to have even more tonal variations on tap while the No-Load tone control operates like a standard tone control from positions one through nine, removing itself from the circuit at position ten for transparent sound, letting the full natural voice of the guitar shine through. Play with confidence in the guitar?s tuning stability and intonation, thanks to the secure six-saddle hardtail bridge.

As curvaceous as a high-performance hot rod, Charvel's San Dimas guitars are widely acclaimed for their sleek style. White pickup bobbins and a gold hardware package, including a Charvel neck plate, sealed die-cast locking tuners and vintage- style flat string tree are paired to this Snow White finish for a classic and stately look.

I have a bunch of higher end guitars, including a Gibson Explorer and LTD H-1000. Each one of those needed fret work, which really annoys me. There were buzzing frets which needed levelling and crowning. The San Dimas has the most perfect frets I have ever seen. There are no high spots, the ends are not protruding or sharp, and they are perfectly polished. The routing of the pickup cavities could be better but meh, it doesn’t bother me. The neck is buttery smooth and has a super fast feel. The nut was cut perfectly for the 9-42 it came with, so when I changed to 10-52 gauge I had to widen it a little but that was easy. The Duncan pickups are classic sounding; I play mostly metal and the JB could be a little tighter but I have compared the sound to my Explorer with a Bare Knuckle Holydiver and it sounds excellent. All in all, amazing playing guitar. Highly recommend.

This guitar will beat any strat that cost two to three times as much. The unfinished maple neck is absolutely amazing, fast down low but still rounded enough at the lower frets for chords. The pickups are second to none and add the coil tap and your possibilities are endless. If you want Les Paul this can dial it it, want that strat sound it's there, but even better it sounds like a Charvel which is the best of all. My only complaint is no stainless steel frets.

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty.

Warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?

Performance Guarantee - normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage.

Product Replacement - if your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.

No Lemon Policy - your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.

Convenient - easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.

Guitar Setup - Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.

Loaners Available - a loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.

Power Surge Protection - your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.

Accessory Coverage - any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.

Commercial Use Coverage - music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty.Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, woodwind pads, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Accidental or cosmetic damage is not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

NEW products: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.

USED products: 4% of selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year. Pricing for used electronic products is 4% of the original new selling price.

GUITARS: 4% of selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.

BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: $40 up to $2,000 selling price. BRASS and STRINGS: 2% of the selling price after $2,000. WOODWINDS: 4% of the selling price after $2,000.

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
