I bought this throne for my practice kit and have had it for several years now. The seat could use more padding because after and hour or so my skinny butt goes numb. The height clamp screw stripped within a couple of weeks due to poor quality metal, but the locking clamp still holds it up. Overall not a bad throne for a beginner but if you are a heavier person or a highly animated drummer it will more than likely break. Spend a bit more and get something better.

In spite of the negative reviews here, this throne is highly rated on Amazon. It's true, if not secured properly it can slip. But the double-clutch mechanism works fine if it's tightened adequately. Frankly, it was the only one I tried in the store that DIDN'T slip. It's simple, sturdy, and I've found it quite comfortable. I prefer a solid seat over a cushy one - your butt may vary. I was looking for a decent throne at a reasonable price and I found it.

Bought this because i needed a drum throne to practice my drums it never stays at the height that i want it it goes back down and the chair is uncomfortable after a while wish it had more of a cushion

The height screw stripped. It would stay up so your tendency is to over tighten. Cheap metal. I had to drill a hole through the stand and use a bolt drilled at the right height for me.....if you are 100 lbs or less, it should be fine.

First time use I found the stool uncomfortable I did'nt feel there was enough padding
However with continued use it is actually a good drum throne and very little "Monkey butt"
Pearl quality is there
