Mark discovered guitar at the age of 14. He plays acoustic, electric, lap steel, mandolin, ukulele, bass and bandurria. He has been teaching all ages how to enjoy these instruments for over 30 years. As a young man, he won the Royal Conservatory’s silver medal of Canada in classical guitar. Mark has continued by composing new finger-style works that showcase this training. Mark has always admired artists like Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and old masters like Robert Johnson and Son House. That passion led to a nomination for a Covenant award by the Canadian Gospel Music Association for Best Blues Song, 'Waiting For the Resurrection'.

Mark is a ‘jack of all trades’ - multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and educator. Mark is a versatile guitarist who has been releasing and performing music as a solo artist and as a band leader of a progressive metal band. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Mark is passionate about teaching his students to discover the joy of music. His pedagogy consists of learning & analyzing popular repertoire, building strong technique fundamentals and developing students' musical vocabulary.

Matt studied audio engineering at the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology and has been the owner of Longshot Records recording studio since 1997. As recording engineer/producer he has worked with many local and international artists in a wide variety of styles to produce albums, videos, and voice-overs for film. He also appears regularly as a guitarist for a variety of artists, performing at local and international venues. Matt has been teaching both electric and acoustic guitar for over 15 years, specializing in pop, rock, country and folk music.

He was nominated for a Saskatchewan Music Award for The Best Heavy Metal Album with his current band, Dream Creeps. Teaching is a passion of Matt’s. He enjoys the art of it and sharing his love of music with his students. He is trained in and has studied several aspects of music. His lessons involve a mixture of all styles. The students’ personal inspiration and goals will determine the lesson path they will take to have fun playing the music they enjoy. He teaches beginners as well as advanced students. Matt Martin is a London, Ontario guitar teacher of many stripes; with a diverse background in classical guitar, fingerstyle, flamenco, folk, rock, music theory, songwriting, psychology, education, and music production he dedicates his unique skill set to helping students reach their musical goals and inspire them to go further.
Matt began playing guitar when he was 15 and immediately became a life-long student of effective and efficient learning. Originally inspired by rock guitar virtuosos, he practiced technique endlessly for a year before discovering a new challenge, classical guitar. In less than three years, Matt advanced far enough in classical guitar, music theory, and piano to attend Western University, where he achieved his Bachelor of Music (honors) degree with a minor in psychology. After completing his music degree, Matt continued his training with a Bachelor of Education from UWO, followed by a Music Industry Arts diploma from Fanshawe. His debut single as a singer-songwriter, Maple & Pine won second place in the inaugural Aeolian Hall song contest out of 162 entries.

Mitch has been teaching guitar since 2002. He’s a graduate of the Red Deer College music program, has studied classical guitar through the Royal Conservatory of Music (3 time Gold Medalist for levels 7, 8, and 9), and has a Diploma in Jazz Performance from the London College of Music. He has studied with some of Edmonton’s finest instructors, and in L.A. with Greg Howe (a touring guitarist for Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake). Mitch enjoys, and has experience teaching various styles ranging from classical music to metal. His has completed the Suzuki Guitar Volumes 1-5 and Suzuki Principles in Action courses.
