Cam Steele is a teacher, performer, and composer in Edmonton. He performs regularly in Edmonton in various contemporary styles from rock, blues, jazz, RnB, funk, and popular music. Cam also plays as a solo guitarist inspired by great fingerstyle players and classical repertoire. Cam values teaching music as a language and creates a space where students start making music within their first lesson. Cam also offers instruction in music technology, electronic production, songwriting, and orchestration. Lessons with Cam are constructed around learning how to really play the music students want to play!
Cam holds a Music Diploma and a Bachelor of Music Composition from MacEwan University, as well as a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Alberta.

Cameron O'Brien is a multi-instrumentalist who has studied 5 instruments in Cambrian college, Majoring in Guitar and Cello, getting 2 advanced diplomas. He specializes in tailoring different teaching strategies to create the best learning exercises and curriculum for each student; improving form, ergonomics, and technique on your instrument; high-level harmonic and historic interpretation of music. During his time at Cambrian, he ran promotion tours for the school, advertising the college's music program. He participated in Gatinau's, Guitar Alla Grande Annual performances where he performed in their guitar orchestra, with his trio and his own solo slot. In the summers, he competed in the Kiwanis Music Festival for 3 years, earning the silver medal for the provincial competition in each. After study, he started teaching privately and in groups, and continues to build his instrument and theory knowledge. Chris was born in Montreal Quebec and moved to BC when he was five, It wasn't long after that his love of music began to surface. His mother played jazz piano and his father played British invasion guitar mixed with the blues. So from an early age Chris had plenty of influences to choose from. His brother gave him a fretless bass when he was 9 followed by some guitars for various birthdays from his parents including a fender Stratocaster for his 16th.
After playing in bands in high school Chris was off to Capilano University where he studied jazz.immediatly following that he hit the ground running playing professionally in live in studio situations for the next 20 years.
He then switched from live to lessons and has been teaching steadily for the last six years. Chris takes great pleasure introducing people to music, watching them develop and hearing the tangible results.

Christian Malette studied at the Cégep de Saint-Laurent and at the University of Montréal in jazz performance and arranging for large big band type ensembles. Christian took his blues classes with the Quebec bluesman Bob Walsh, accompanying him for more than 10 years. His career has led him to participate in many festivals across Quebec and France. He also accompanied the rocker Marjo for 6 years. You can hear him on the two albums of Marjo and his men Vol 1 and 2. Christian also has his own orchestra with which he performs as a singer and leader. Passionate about his art, he likes to share it with young and old!

Christy Vanden is a guitar, drum and vocal teacher with over 8 years of teaching experience, both privately and at the Long and McQuade Lesson Centre in Courtenay. She is a local musician who has played lead guitar and vocals in numerous bands, toured as a solo act and played in the all-female multi-award nominated group, She Could Be Trouble.
She is currently the co-lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Time Well Wasted, and drummer for Oktiv6. Christy has performed multiple times at Filberg Festival, Nautical Days, The Sid Williams Theatre, Sunfest Country Music Fest, and 2024's Vancouver Island Music Fest.

Claude Gagné holds a Bachelor's degree in guitar from Université de Montréal. For 15 years, he was a professional singer and arranger with the vocal group La Bande Magnétik. With this group he has completed 3 albums, 3 video clips and has presented several hundred shows in Quebec and Europe. He is the winner of a Félix in 1994 for arranger of the year. David was born in Cherbourg, France, and began playing guitar at the age of 14 under the influence of his first teacher, Daniel Cordhomme. At 16, he took Stéphane Fleury's jazz class and enrolled at the municipal music school with Fabrice Paris. After three years of classical guitar studies, he graduated with honors. Wishing to evolve musically, he moved to Paris to perfect his skills in the theory and practice of modern music at the American Jazz School, where he took guitar lessons with Mike O'Neil. The following year, he met Sammy Daussat, with whom he learned gypsy guitar. At the age of 27, he joined the class of Mariapina Roberti (international concert artist), who opened up new musical horizons for him, and with whom he organized a duo concert. David has also performed on Parisian stages such as the Café de Paris and the Chat Noir. His rate is $26 per half-hour for private lessons.
