Jack returned to Calgary in 2005, after completing a bachelor of music degree at the University of Toronto. He has studied guitar with Jeffrey McFadden in Toronto, and Ralph Maier in Calgary. Jack also performed and recorded with the University of Calgary guitar ensemble. He enjoys teaching all ages and levels, and believes that every student is capable, given individualized instruction. Jack offers lessons at the Calgary Chinook store and his rate is $32 per half hour.

Jack Dublanica has a BA in Theory and Music History and has been playing the banjo and fiddle for over 30 years. He started teaching in 1995 and has experience teaching all ages of students in both private and group lessons. Jack has played with bluegrass/folk and bluegrass/country bands, including Home Brood, Citybilly, and Cactus Jack and the Rounders. He has performed at the Regina Folk Festival and The Big Valley Jamboree. He is currently a member of Binder Twine and the Bales. Jack teaches 5-string banjo, fiddle and mandolin in many styles including Celtic, Cape Breton and classical. Jack teaches banjo, mandolin, fiddle and beginner violin at the Regina store. Jack is a certified contemporary guitarist who has a Degree in Guitar Performance from Musicians Institute as well as an Advanced Professional Certification in Composition from Berklee College of Music. He is sophisticated in guitar shredding, heavy metal, rock, blues, jazz, neoclassical, songwriting, and music theory. He has also studied under some of the finest virtuosos in the world, such as Dave Martone, Paul Gilbert, Tony MacAlpine, etc. He released his first solo instrumental album Livin’ the Moments in 2018. Jack has been gigging consistently for the past 6 years. Jack is open to teach students of all age groups and skill levels. His rate is $32/half hour.

Jacob is a singer and guitarist, composer and sound engineer. His current band Quickness keeps him busy, and he also does shows as a solo looping artist and owns a recording studio. He has a long list of sound engineering customers including Snoop Dogg and Carly Rae Jepsen. Jacob offers something new to the lesson Centre, with recording, looping and beatboxing in his toolbox of skills. Jacob takes students 6 years old and up and all ability levels. Ms. Wan is an accomplished pianist who began her music studies from Douglas College (BC), then completed her B.Mus in Music Education with a minor in Linguistics from University of Toronto. She studied piano under the tutelage of Dr. Barry Barrington, Dr. Leslie Kinton, and Mr. Boris Zarankin. After attaining intermediate performance knowledge of multiple orchestral instruments, she pursued short-term studies in the George Hurst Conducting Course at the Canford School of Music (now Sherborne School of Music) in Dorset UK. Additionally, she participated in the Saarburg International Music Festival in Saarburg, Germany studying chamber music with musicians from around the globe. Ms. Wan also volunteered as the assistant conductor with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets of the 800 Black Forest Squadron. With many years of Teaching experience behind her and various awards and certifications such as RCM Advanced Specialist in both Piano and Theory , she continues, as she has done for over 26 years, to regularly prepare her students for recitals, competitions, and the Royal Conservatory of Music examinations. She’s also a singer/songwriter for the past few years and came out with her first EP Takes a Little Thought. She loves teaching the ukulele and wants to inspire others to enjoy the instrument too.

Jaime Carrasco is a drummer/percussionist/educator, born in Chile, and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Jaime has been drumming since 1985 and has been teaching since 2005 (has been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2010). Jaime has a College Jazz Diploma from Malaspina University-College (now Vancouver Island University) in Nanaimo, BC (1999), and a BFA w/ Honours in Music (major in Jazz Drums, minor in Carnatic (South Indian) classical percussion) from York University in Toronto, Ontario (2002). Jaime has studied with Barry Elmes, Trichy Sankaran, Jim Blackely, Clarence Penn, Alvin Atkinson, John Riley, Eric McPherson, and Quincy Davis.
Aside from freelance work, Jaime is currently involved with several projects, including: Slow Train Home (country); The Leftists (power pop), follow-up album to debut (Demonstrate) will release soon; Claire Therese & The Lockdown (debut album, Villainy was released earlier in 2022, while the follow-up album has just been recorded in 2025) IJG (Impressions Jazz Group), and The Adventures (surf-rock). Jaime welcomes beginners to advanced students of all styles.

Jamie Moran has been a performer and educator in various music circles since 2014. A graduate of the MUN School of Music, he has performed with many ensembles including the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and Scruncheons Percussion Ensemble among others. Jamie is also the percussionist for Cabot Power, and performs with other local artists including The Celtic Fiddlers. Besides percussion, Jamie plays many different instruments including guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, bodhran, banjo, drums, and he also sings. Jamie has traveled the province multiple times performing and leading workshops in various capacities. As an educator, Jamie is both a private and substitute music teacher. He is currently completing a bachelor's degree at the Université du Québec à Montréal, focusing on jazz and classical double bass.
