Jamie Moran has been a performer and educator in various music circles since 2014. A graduate of the MUN School of Music, he has performed with many ensembles including the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and Scruncheons Percussion Ensemble among others. Jamie is also the percussionist for Cabot Power, and performs with other local artists including The Celtic Fiddlers. Besides percussion, Jamie plays many different instruments including guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, bodhran, banjo, drums, and he also sings. Jamie has traveled the province multiple times performing and leading workshops in various capacities. As an educator, Jamie is both a private and substitute music teacher. As an advocate for music, he is a board member with both the Newfoundland and Labrador Band Association and the CFM Local 820. His rate is $28 per half hour lesson.

Janel received her education and training in music, recreation and fitness as well as dance and movement, and has been teaching classes in these intersecting areas for nearly 25 years. She develops and implements music and movement programs for people of all ages: babies and preschoolers, elementary, high school and post secondary and the general community. She understands the importance of putting one’s teaching into practice and is an accomplished performer. Jasmine Moore is a classically trained flautist with experience playing baroque flute, piccolo, clarinet, and saxophone in various ensembles from chamber music to large ensembles throughout Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Ji Eun Moon is a professional composer, pianist, and teacher. She holds a master's degree from Brooklyn College, the City University of New York (CUNY) and a doctorate (DMA) from the University of Georgia in the United States. She is a recipient of the U.S. Arts and Sciences Special Talent Visa (O1visa) and has twice been awarded a scholarship from the Korea-American Scholarship Foundation (KASF). Her composition for string trio was selected and performed at the Korea Chamber Music Composition Festival (2023) at the Seoul Arts Center in South Korea, and her music Croquis was selected and performed at the University of North Georgia Contemporary Music Composition Conference (2022) in the United States. She was recently artist-in-residence at the Wildacres Retreat in North Carolina (2022), USA. She won an international composition competition and workshop organised by the Italian Ministry of Culture in Melbourne, Australia, had her work premiered at ABC Hall, was selected as artist-in-residence by the American Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA), and won the Composers' Forum at the Oregon Bach Festival and the 3rd International Competition for Young Artists organised by IRCAM.
She was selected for the composers' workshop and as a resident artist at the Slovenian International Residency Guest Room Maribor. She has been an assistant professor at the Mongolian International University (MIU). Her piano solo, Watching & Chasing, was included in a special album by Albany Records, USA. As a solo pianist and accompanist, she has performed with prestigious musicians, ensembles and orchestras. She is a member of MusiCon and the Society of Composers of Contemporary Music in Busan, South Korea, and is a member of ASCAP and BMI. She also offers lessons in korean.

Jimmy began playing guitar at around 12 years old and has been immersed in music ever since. Growing up in a musical family, he learned by watching and playing alongside relatives, which helped him develop a strong foundation and a deep love for music. Over time, his curiosity and dedication led him to explore a wide range of stringed instruments, expanding both his skills and his musical reach.
A passionate performer, Jimmy is well known in the Hastings and Quinte regions as one half of the popular local duo The Rodgers Boys. He also showcases his talent as the lead guitarist for the rock band Beyond the Call, gaining valuable live performance experience that he brings into his teaching.
Jimmy’s approach to instruction is flexible and student-centered. He tailors each lesson to the individual, regardless of age, level, or musical background. His teaching is not limited to any one genre—instead, he focuses on helping students reach their goals, whether that means understanding complex music theory or simply learning to play their favorite chords.
“Meeting people at their level is my main focus in teaching,” Jimmy says, and that commitment is reflected in every lesson he gives.
