Lesley Law is well versed in classical, jazz, funk, R&B, Latin, and rock styles.
She is equally experienced preparing students in the Rockschool and RCM curriculum. Lesley studied piano, bass, and guitar on scholarship at Capilano University then furthered her studies at Musicians Institute and Berklee. Her students are regularly selected to perform in the awards galas of the most prestigious music competitions in the Lower Mainland. As a session and live musician on bass, keys and guitar she has played across stages in North America in bands spanning R&B, Hip Hop, Indie, Post Punk, & Pop. She also provides instruction in composition, theory and music history. 2024 student achievements include Highest Overall Mark Trophy at the 2024 BCCM Festival, 10 Gold and 5 Top Overall Mark Winners. 2024 Richmond Music Festival yielded 10 First Place, 12 Second Place, 4 Division Winners and selected to perform at the awards gala in piano and classical guitar. Many of her students have gone on to successful careers and post-secondary studies in music as producers and songwriters. Her rate is $33 per half hour.

Liam has been making music from a very young age. He started playing guitar at age 6, piano at age 7, and was singing in choirs even before that. This love for music led Liam to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music (major in Composition) from MacEwan University in 2020. Liam has composed and performed a wide variety of music; including musical theatre, choir, classical, singer-songwriter, and jazz ensemble. In Spring 2024, Liam performed the roll of Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music with Abbotsford’s Gallery 7 Theatre. In Winter 2024, Liam composed music for and performed in a play adaptation of Prince Caspian, also with Gallery 7. Liam has taught private music lessons for over 5 years. His favourite part about teaching music is hearing people use what they’ve learned to bring a story to life through song. His rate is $31 per half hour.

Lillian has a degree from UBC, holds a Piano Performance Licentiate Diploma from Trinity College of Music in London, is qualified to teach the Kelly Kirby Kindergarten Method & TMA programs, and successfully completed the Music Together Teacher Training workshop developed by the Center for Music and Young Children, Princeton, New Jersey. She volunteers as coordinator of the Richmond Music Festival Society, where she accompanies and also adjudicates for the music festival. Lillian is also a member of the BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association Richmond Branch, Canadian Federation Music Teachers’ Association & Canadian Music Teachers’ Association. Lisa has her grade 10 RCM certification and is very active as a teacher in the Edmonton music scene. She completed her RCM Certified Teacher Intermediate in 2019. She has experience teaching students of all ages and specializes in instructing young children and students with disabilities. She is an RCM Certified Teacher for beginner and intermediate levels. Lisa teaches piano lessons at our Edmonton South location.

Loïc a commencé à jouer de la batterie à l'oreille à l'âge de 13 ans. Après avoir exploré différents styles tels que le heavy metal, le rock progressif, il commence à étudier la percussion classique sous la tutelle du renommé René Joly. Après son double DEC en musique et en sciences de la nature, il complète son baccalauréat en interprétation jazz à l'Université Laval sous la supervision de René Roulx, un batteur célèbre au Québec.
En 2023, il complète une maitrise en interprétation et composition de jazz à l'école de musique Schulich de McGill. Non seulement Loïc a enseigné dans différentes écoles telles que Accroche Notes de Lévis, l'école de musique Desjardins et le collège Champigny, mais il a été plus actif sur la scène musicale québécoise, dans laquelle il se produit dans plusieurs formations de jazz ainsi qu'avec des groupes de “covers” de grands circuits.

Loïc started playing drums by ear at the age of 13. After exploring different styles such as heavy metal and progressive rock, he began studying classical percussion under the tutelage of the renowned René Joly. After his double DEC in music and natural sciences, he completes his bachelor's degree in jazz interpretation at Laval University under the supervision of René Roulx, a famous drummer in Quebec.
In 2023, he earned a Master’s degree in jazz performance and composition at the Schulich School of Music at McGill. Not only has Loïc taught in different schools such as Accroche Notes de Lévis, the Desjardins School of Music and Champigny College, but he has been more active on the Quebec music scene, performing in several jazz bands as well as with cover bands of major circuits.

Premier Prix de trompette du Conservatoire de musique de Québec. Lauréat d’un prix décerné par le Conseil des arts du Canada, il a complété sa formation à l’Université de Boston, où il a obtenu son diplôme sous l’enseignement de Roger Voisin et de Maurice André. Il a participé à de nombreux enregistrements pour la CBC et a été invité plus d’une fois à se produire comme trompettiste solo dans des émissions spéciales diffusées par Radio-Canada.
Il a aussi effectué des tournées au Canada, aux États-Unis, en Amérique du Sud en plus d’accompagner des artistes de renommée internationale en studio et en spectacle. En plus d’enseigner la trompette classique et jazz, Louis Larouche est également le président fondateur de Ars Musicum Workshop, une initiative visant à faire connaître les instruments de la famille des cuivres à de nombreux enfants, au Canada et aux États-Unis.
Louis Larouche a en outre composé plus d’une trentaine de pièces musicales où se mêlent des influences de jazz, de musique latine et de musique fusion. Certaines de ces pièces ont été réalisées avec l’aide de GarageBand et LogicStudio, des logiciels dont le compositeur n’hésite pas à faire l’éloge. D’ailleurs, Louis Larouche était administrateur et formateur pour le Club Macintosh de Québec, en plus d’être membre de MacIDOL, un site regroupant des musiciens et des utilisateurs de GarageBand, Soundtrack et Logic. Récemment, Louis Larouche a produit six albums avec ces logiciels.
Invité par le Gouvernement du Québec à plusieurs reprises, il s’est fait entendre au Pérou, au Chili, au Connecticut, ainsi qu’à New York dans le cadre des Missions économiques. Enseignant en trompette jazz et classique au CNDF depuis plus de 20 ans, il continue son parcours de professeur en Gestion de carrière artistique et, avec fierté, il est maintenant professeur de trompette au collège d’Alma et à l'école de musique Jésus-Marie à Lévis.

Luke has 30+ years of experience playing guitar, bass, drums, singing, composing and producing music in a myriad of styles. In addition to having undergone extensive studies in Jazz and Classical traditions (including the Humber Music Program), he has played in Pop, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Classic Rock, Indie Rock, Dance, Electronic, Punk, and Metal bands all over Canada as well extensive touring in Europe and the United States.
Keeping in mind that theory, technique and ear training are important, he is always trying to encourage his students to build a fearless trust in their own musical intuition. Manny has been playing live since 1991 and teaching since 1995. He was the winner of the 1997 Blues Guitar Riff-Off at age 19 and was nominated Best Blues Band at the Doheny Blues Society in California in 1999 and the Maple Blues Awards in 2000. He has played many major blues festivals in Ottawa and New York and has shared the stage with blues legends Otis Rush, Kid Ramos (The Fabulous Thunderbirds) and Dan Aykroyd. Manny has played in several different blues and rockabilly bands over the years. He is comfortable teaching students of all levels, especially those that are interested in lead and rhythm guitar. He began his musical career in his elementary school choir. In high school, he studied both clarinet and saxophone, getting involved in several musical projects. His passion for music led him to perform with several small and large ensembles. He is interested in writing and arranging music, as well as chamber music and symphony orchestra repertoires. As an adult, Marc studied ensemble conducting with trumpeter and conductor André Gauthier. As part of his bachelor's degree in music education, he studied classical clarinet at UQAM with Martin Carpentier, clarinetist with the Orchestre Métropolitain de Montréal. Marc has long been interested in all wind instruments, and is not afraid of musical challenges. His professional experience has led him to conduct young people in school settings as well as adults in musical theatre settings. Marc’s been teaching at Long & McQuade since 2010. He teaches all genres, believing students will work harder if they’re playing music they love to play. He can teach RCM, and was a judge at the Victoria Conservatory of Music for graduating students in 2021. Marc joined Prism in 2010, playing large festival audiences and indoor theatres. He was with Doug and the Slugs and Nick Gilder before that. He also plays keyboards and sings with Stone Poets, recording their 5th album currently with Marc producing alongside West Coast Engineer of the year, Sheldon Zaharko. He’s the West Coast Director with the Canadian Musicians Coalition; a director at Pacific Northwest Radio and the writer/producer of the radio podcast. Marco Castillo was born in the capital of Samba, and after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music at Estácio de Sá University in Rio de Janeiro in 1994, he instantly began touring South America with Brazil’s hottest bands; since moving to Canada, Marco has performed in festivals around the globe, and has recorded and produced many musical projects. Whether it’s his work as a solo artist, his full 8 piece "Brazilian Beats" band, or collaborations with the Winnipeg Jazz and Symphony Orchestras and Ron Paley’s Big Band, Castillo brings a one of a kind show. Castillo’s much appraised Trip to Brazil, (one of his three albums), was awarded World Recording of the Year (2012) in Regina as part of the Western Canadian Music Awards. Marco Castillo was also a finalist for the 2015 Viña del Mar music festival in Chile, one of the most important music festivals in Latin America, which is broadcasted and seen by over 250,000,000 fans around the world. Castillo believes in developing a personalized teaching method for each student since every individual learns differently. Marco specializes in a number of different teaching styles including rock, jazz, pop, country, as well as Latin rhythms such as samba, bossa-nova, bolero, salsa, Afro Cuban and more!
