Maria began playing music at the age of five and was taken under the wing of her violinist aunt for more than five years. She was the first prize winner at the Festival Jeunes Talents in Saint-Lambert for three consecutive years from 2005 to 2007 as well as recipient of the Certificate of Honor and the Coup de Coeur Diploma. She studied at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal for four years, where she had the opportunity to be a member of the Junior String Orchestra of the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. She was notably part of the Orchestre à cordes Junior de la Montérégie (AOJM), the Orchestre Philharmonie jeunesse de Montréal, the Orchestre de chambre du cégep de Saint-Laurent and the Orchestre Symphonique des jeunes de Montréal. In 2019, she obtained her Double DEC in Humanities and Music. She is currently starting her first year of the Master of Music program in Violin Performance at the University of Montreal.
