Avery Hesse has been a student of Long and McQuade for over ten years. She has been studying piano for many years and holds her RCM level 8 for piano and theory. Avery enjoys a wide range of classical repertoire as well as more contemporary styles of music from video games, movies, and various internet media. She also enjoys popular music along with arranging. Avery has consistently participated in recitals and music festivals during her piano studies. She looks forward to sharing her enjoyment of music with her students. Avery teaches piano at the Regina store. Her rate is $27 per half-hour.

Barbara Lorenz moved to Calgary from Lloydminster, Alberta where she was Woodwind Instructor for Lakeland College teaching Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe and Bassoon, as well as theory. She was also teaching Grade 6 band for the Lloydminster Public School Division. Barbara graduated from Dickinson State University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts.
Playing in Saxophone quartets, Jazz ensembles, and Concert Bands have been a large part of her musical career. She is currently very active, playing in a duo throughout the Calgary area.
Barbara has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2013. Her rate is $33 per half hour.

Beau Stocker is a versatile drummer and educator based in the Comox Valley, BC. With over 30 years of musical study and performance experience, his journey began in Ontario at Humber College and York University (Toronto) and continued in the United Kingdom, where he earned an MA in Improvised Music and Jazz and a PhD in Music Performance from the University of York. His doctoral research explored the fusion of East African rhythmic traditions with improvised music composition—an influence that informs both his teaching and his performance practice. As a performer, he has performed across Canada and internationally in Europe, UK, and East Africa, and is currently a regular performer in various musical projects in the Comox Valley BC. As an educator, Beau has worked as a Music Specialist in private schools across Toronto, the United Kingdom, and Sudan, and has lectured at universities in both Sudan and the UK. He developed a 5 year percussion degree program for the Sudan University and has more recently brought his expertise to British Columbia, where he creates and facilitates music workshops for students and community groups. Beau's lesson rate is $35.00 per half hour lesson.

Ben Lockwood studied music theory, performance psychology, composition and arranging at the Dartington College of Arts, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours-Music (Performance). He has performed professionally on flute, saxophone and clarinet in the United Kingdom and internationally. He has taught students of all age groups and experience levels in both private and school settings. His students are consistently successful at exams, with some having gone onto study music at notable institutions such as the Royal Academy of Music in London, and the Leeds Royal School of Music. His rate is $30 per half hour.

Brad has a music degree from Dalhousie University and has been playing in local and national bands for the last 17 years. He has appeared on stage with a number of acts such as Nathan Wiley, Blue Rodeo, Sam Roberts, Dutch Mason, Matt Mays, and Jill Barber, received a Juno during his tenure with “Johnny Favourite” and currently he plays regularly with “The Mellotones”, “The Metric System”, “Joe Murphy”, “The Hopping Penguins”, and hosts a long standing weekly blues jam at Bearly’s. He’s been teaching for the last 16 years and is a regular coach at Summer Rock. His rate for a half-hour private lesson is $30.

Brandon studied contemporary music at Mohawk College in Hamilton Ontario under some of Canada's most skilled musicians. In his time of study there he became very immersed in the musical vocabulary of contemporary rock /pop music. He plays in various groups around Ontario of all different styles and genres. Brandon has also performed at many jazz, folk and contemporary music festivals around the world. His rate is $28 for a 30 minute lesson.

Breanna is a classically trained musician who has been teaching privately since 2019. She moved to Edmonton from Langley, BC, to study at The King's University to earn a Bachelor of Music degree. She began her music career by playing in her school's concert band, and her love and passion for music grew from there, participating in multiple wind ensembles, musical productions, choirs, and jazz ensembles since then. She enjoys trying and learning new instruments in her spare time to continue expanding her musical knowledge. Breanna believes that music should be accessible for everyone, and she works to make lessons approachable and tailors them to each student's individual goals and skill levels. Brenda Stettner is a certified elementary and intermediate specialist through the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has been teaching piano, organ, and guitar since 1980. Brenda has experience with MIDI and multi-track recording, she composes and arranges music for herself and her students, and she prepares students for Royal Conservatory examinations and music festivals. Brenda believes in continuous learning and professional development, and is always looking for new ways to teach concepts in private lessons and master classes. Her unique teaching approach has motivated students to become teachers, recording artists, composers, and to generally enjoy making music. As a classically trained flautist and saxophonist, Breony studied extensively at Leeds Conservatoire in the UK, where she graduated with a first class honours degree in Music. With much experience both performing in and working behind the scenes in orchestras, she is eager to share her enthusiasm for music and focuses on keeping learning creative and fun when it comes to music lessons. Though Breony is classically trained, she is happy to teach in a variety of different styles and genres and has experience in working with students of all ages! Bryan has been playing drums since 1982 and teaching since 1995. He has played everything from jazz to heavy metal. Bryan performs regularly with his Latin jazz trio and is a member of the Brian Eagles Band. He has recorded and performed with many groups, most notably with Juno nominated singer/songwriter Kathleen Edwards. Bryan has studied at the world-renowned Drummers Collective in New York City with a grant awarded from the Ontario Arts Council. He has also studied with Jim Chapin, Kim Plainfield, Magella Cormier and Joel Rosenblatt. Bryan has taught for the Carleton University Bachelor of Music program and is a member of both the Vic Firth Education Team and the Hudson Music Teacher Integration Program. Cam Steele is a teacher, performer, and composer in Edmonton. He performs regularly in Edmonton in various contemporary styles from rock, blues, jazz, RnB, funk, and popular music. Cam also plays as a solo guitarist inspired by great fingerstyle players and classical repertoire. Cam values teaching music as a language and creates a space where students start making music within their first lesson. Cam also offers instruction in music technology, electronic production, songwriting, and orchestration. Lessons with Cam are constructed around learning how to really play the music students want to play!

Cameron O'Brien is a multi-instrumentalist who has studied 5 instruments in Cambrian college, Majoring in Guitar and Cello, getting 2 advanced diplomas. He specializes in tailoring different teaching strategies to create the best learning exercises and curriculum for each student; improving form, ergonomics, and technique on your instrument; high-level harmonic and historic interpretation of music. During his time at Cambrian, he ran promotion tours for the school, advertising the college's music program. He participated in Gatinau's, Guitar Alla Grande Annual performances where he performed in their guitar orchestra, with his trio and his own solo slot. In the summers, he competed in the Kiwanis Music Festival for 3 years, earning the silver medal for the provincial competition in each. After study, he started teaching privately and in groups, and continues to build his instrument and theory knowledge. Camille is an award-winning singer, musical theatre performer, music director, voice actor, songwriter, and voice teacher since 2010. A graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts, she is a versatile professional vocalist who both performs and teaches in various genres of music, including Contemporary Commercial Music (includes pop and rock), musical theatre and classical styles of singing. Camille is also trained in the Royal Conservatory of Music piano and voice performance curricula, and is a two-time winner of the BC Silver Medal for the highest examination mark in the province for voice performance. Utilizing the principles she learned from the LoVetri Institute in Somatic VoiceworkTM, Camille works with students of various ages and ability levels to find and develop their unique voice in a sustainable and healthy manner.
