Suneal Pal graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with an Honors B.A. in Guitar Performance. He achieved first class honors in grade nine R.C.M. Since graduation, he has performed widely to rave reviews, recorded several CDs, and taught students of all ages and abilities. Suneal plays Acoustic, Classical, Electric, Rock, and Finger-style guitar and is also well-versed in Flamenco, Latin, and Jazz rhythms.

Susan Sharpe (violin) began playing through the Halifax schools’ strings program. She has played in the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra and Mount Allison String Ensemble, and continues to play orchestral music with the Halifax Music Co-op. Susan enjoys playing a wide range of music, from classical to fiddle to music from movies and video games. Always on the lookout for more opportunities to play in a group, her favorite musical experience is playing in big orchestras. With experience teaching in musical and academic settings, Susan has taught all ages from young children to adults. She enjoys introducing students to the violin, helping them reach the next level in their playing and seeing them succeed. Susan’s rate for a half hour lesson will be $28.

Susan began her musical journey at an early age starting formal piano lessons at 8 years of age, marking the start of a lifelong relationship with music. Susan graduated on the Presidents’ Honor roll from Red Deer Polytechnic and holds a Diploma in Classical Music and is the recipient of numerous awards recognizing her musical achievements. SHe has also completed the Grade 9 Royal Conservatory of Music practical examination with theory co-requisites, Harmony 3 & 4. She has always had a passion for teaching. After taking time to raise her family, she is excited to work with students again fostering both technical skill and a love of music in a supportive and encouraging environment. Suzy is a violin and viola teacher. She started her music education as a cellist at four years old, though she soon switched to the violin and spent her childhood years training with the Suzuki method and the RCM graded syllabuses. As a teenager she attended an arts High School where she got the chance to participate in Orchestra, Chamber music groups, and much more. At 16 she decided to switch to viola but continued playing violin on the side. She graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor of Arts with specialization in music. This program not only allowed her do some performance classes but also gave her the ability to take classes on music education, psychology, and many more interesting subjects relating to both music and education. Additionally, it allowed her to participate in practicums where she was able to work with teachers and students at the Ottawa organization "Orkidstra". In addition to this, she is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, having completed her program in Ballet teaching studies in 2021. The skills she learnt in this program helped her as a music teacher tremendously as she learned about child psychology, cognitive development, and teaching techniques that can be applied in any type of educational setting. She began teaching as a skating instructor in 2012, and then began teaching ballet in 2016, and began teaching music in 2020 and was able to take the skills she learned from her years teaching other activities into her career as a music teacher. She continues to teach ballet in addition to teaching violin and viola and she recently attained her Masters of Music performance at the University of Ottawa.

Takafumi Tan got his Bachelor of Arts and Science degree (Major in Music, minor in Mathematics) from the University of Lethbridge. He has more than 20 years of violin and piano training with performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and received the Provincial medals for Level 4 (2003) and Level 6 (2005) in violin RCM examination. He has played in symphonies in both Japan and Lethbridge Canada. He has also taught violin and piano in various music schools and privately in Lethbridge and Calgary. Takafumi has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2023. His rate is $33 per half hour.

Tanya Karamanos holds a masters of music in violin performance from the University of Akron, Ohio, a graduate degree in viola performance from Université de Sherbrooke, Québec and a Masters in musicology from York University, Toronto where she specialized on Sofia Gubaidulina’s violin concerti. Her current doctoral studies focus on traditional Romanian violin music. She also has also completed a series of doctoral classes in music education from Liberty University, Virginia.
Tanya performed her solo debut at Carnegie Hall in 2016 and performs regularly locally and abroad. She has experience as a soloist, a chamber musician and as an orchestral musician. A published writer and an active public speaker in the field of musical academia, Miss Karamanos has an extensive background in music education, musicology and ethnomusicology. She has been published in academic research journals such as The Canadian Music Educator and Series Musicologica Balcanica and has lectured abroad at various conferences and Universities such as the National University of Music in Bucharest. Beyond the realm of classical music, she also has extensive experience playing and teaching Eastern European and klezmer music in Canada and overseas.
Tanya teaches both in English and in French and has twenty years of teaching experience both in person and online. She has completed numerous levels of the Suzuki training program and has experience with children as young as 3 years old. She also has had much success teaching students in more competitive programs such as in high schools with music concentrations, pre-college music programs, masterclasses, audition preparation and she has been invited on violin juries. She is passionate about teaching and sharing her love for the violin and viola with students of all ages, levels, abilities, interests and with students with disabilities. She also teaches piano now for two decades and has numerous years of rigorous piano training and successful piano competitions in her background. Tatiana has over 25 years of experience as a piano teacher. After 12 years of study in Russia, she graduated with a specialization in piano and accompaniment and in 2010, Tatiana moved to Canada. Tatiana has performed as a soloist and accompanist in concerts in Quebec, Russia, France, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Chile. Since 2013, Tatiana has been collaborating with Canadian-Chilean pianist Alejandra Cifuentes Diaz, with whom she has produced their first four-hand piano album. Tatiana is always eager to learn and improve her skills. She obtained a certificate in instrumental teaching (microprogram of graduate studies at the University of Montreal) in 2017 and a certificate in the “Online Teaching” course from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Canada in 2020. Tatiana is a member of the Association des professeurs de musique du Québec and an affiliated professor at the École de musique Vincent d'Indy, the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, and the Royal Conservatory of Music of Canada. I went on to pursue my musical passion at the Université de Sherbrooke, where I obtained a Bachelor of Music degree with a specialization in electric bass. This university experience enabled me to deepen my knowledge, explore new musical horizons and perfect my skills as a my skills as an electric bassist. Thomas Callow is an experienced musician who has studied and performed for 27 years, and specializes in classical voice and piano. Tony Tucker is a percussionist from St. John's, who started playing drum kit at the young age of 10, alongside his parents who played piano and organ in church. In the 90’s, Tony began studying world percussion; his primary focus being traditional Flamenco, West African, Middle-Eastern, and Latin percussion. Tony's passion for West African music led him to study with djembe masters Famoudou Konate, Mohamed Kalifa Kamara, Mamady Keita, & M'Bemba Bangoura. He performed with 5-piece drum ensemble Fola, specializing in Guinean percussion. In 1997, Tony joined the El Viento Flamenco, wherein he has perfected the integral and complex hand clapping. The group performed with many Canadian symphonies, the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, the Atlantic Festival of Lights, PEI’s Folk and Jazz Festival, The Atlantic Film Festival, and Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival. Travis began playing guitar at the age of 12 and by the age of 16 already began teaching in a local music school. While attending high school, he discovered that it was possible to study music in University. After 6 months of intense practice in classical guitar, a style he knew very little about at the time, he passed his audition and was admitted to the University of Ottawa School of Music. As a result, he holds both a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Guitar and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Since university, has returned to his roots; specializing in Rock, Metal, Progressive Rock, Blues, and Folk, while also adding new styles to his repertoire, including Bluegrass music and some jazz. His performing experience stems from mainly being a session musician, filling in for local bands and projects. Currently he is working on his own solo project.

Trésor is an award-winning singer, composer, conductor, and recording artist with over 20 years of international experience, having performed across four continents. He specializes in Gospel and Classical music, with a soulful and expressive approach to R&B.
He is the founder and conductor of Juste Chanter Gospel Choir, a vibrant and growing choral movement based in Metro Vancouver, and serves as Music Director at Tresor Music.
Trésor is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting at Messiah University and a Post-Graduate Artist Diploma in Voice at the Vancouver Academy of Music. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Trinity Western University, a Musical Theatre Certificate from Choreia in Paris, and a Business Diploma from Pigier in Lille, France.
He teaches students of all ages and levels in both English and French, helping them grow in vocal technique, confidence, and artistry.
