Tyson Pilling has been teaching private music lessons for four years. Tyson is in his third year in the music program at MacEwan University with plans to later attend the UofA to obtain an Education Degree. Tyson has been playing guitar and bass since a young age. He has experience playing in a variety of styles such as acoustic finger picking, electric guitar, jazz, alternative, country and pop. Tyson has live music experience playing in jazz bands, pit bands, percussion ensembles, party bands and concert band ensembles. Tyson enjoys teaching all skill levels and ages of students and works to encourage them to achieve and surpass their goals.

With more than 23 years on stage and 9+ as a Drum Instructor, Ulises Valenciano is a well experienced musician known for his versatile skills and adaptability, inspiring new generations of Drummers in Southwestern Ontario. During his career has performed across Mexico, Italy, United States, Spain and Canada as well as being part of recordings, live sessions and video shootings. He got into music at the age of 7 becoming a singer for a choir and then a few years later took a step into Drums taking lessons with the best drummers in the area and then studied Jazz drumming at The Arts Center of San Luis Potosi. As a part of the London community of musicians, has been actively collaborating with some of the most talented local bands and soloists contributing a new proposal and rhythmic perspective to Canadian Culture. Veronica Klock’s students play to learn, to learn to play! Classroom activities get students moving to help them understand not only what music is, but how it feels and how it works, so they can learn to create their own musical ideas from their very first lessons. Healthy playing techniques learned in this way help students protect against repetitive strain injury while allowing them to draw the most exquisite tone possible from the instrument. She encourages group learning opportunities to experience the joy of playing together while building ensemble skills that serve musicians not only in their musical journeys, but in their day-to-day lives as well. Veronica began playing at age three, performing at age four, and teaching at age 18. Having studied with Dr. Harald Zabrack, Dr. Terence Dawson, Dr. Dale Reubart, and Helen Silvester, Veronica completed her A.R.C.T. in 1994 and graduated from UBC in 1998. She enjoys a vibrant career performing with the Strathcona Symphony Orchestra and in small ensembles; accompanying soloists; teaching; and composing; and has accompanied choirs as far away as the Grotto in Portland, OR and Disneyland, CA. Veronica teaches all ages and all levels. Her rate is $33 per half hour.

Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante has been performing for audiences on the Winnipeg live music scene for well over two decades. His skill-sets as a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and band-leader keep him busy throughout the year as a free-lance musician in many of Winnipeg’s most notable music groups. His work as a side-man includes groups such Papa Mambo, Dr. Henry Band, Trio Bembe, the Chuck Copenace group. Victor’s ability and fluidity to authentically blend his guitar skills into various genres can be attributed to his training in through his Bachelor of Jazz Degree at University of Manitoba as well as his own personal studies abroad in Cuba, Argentina & Chile. His musical DNA reflects both his Canadian and Latin-American upbringing, and spans the genres of Cuban music, Jazz, hip=Hop, R&B, Latin-American Folklore, Tango and more from all over the world. Whether leading his own groups (Meta-Clave, The Subversives), or lending his talents to various musical projects in Winnipeg and abroad, his musicianship, joy and expression shine through.
As a teacher with nearly two decades worth of music instruction taught to students of ranging from ages 6-60, Victor has developed tailored methods for teaching guitar, ukelele, bass, music theory, jazz and improvisation. By using his own insights into fretted-instrument mechanics, the Barry Harris’ approach to jazz language & harmony, as well as more traditional approaches to theory, rhythm and melodic improvisation, Victor Hugo Lopez Bustamante customizes lessons for each students’ needs to get them making music! Victoria Dubois is a flautist and vocalist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She obtained a Bachelor of Music from Dalhousie University in June 2025 and is currently studying at Memorial University for a Bachelor of Music Education. Alongside her university studies, Victoria has also received training in the Suzuki Method at the Great Lakes Suzuki Institute in 2023. With over 10 years of experience in flute in voice, Victoria has played with several ensembles including the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, and DalOpera. She believes that every child has the ability to achieve excellence in music and is dedicated to supporting her students on that journey to greatness. Victoria's rate is $27 per 30 minute lesson.
Victoriya Savchenko (Voice, Piano, Theory) Registration Request

Victoriya Savchenko is a native of Ukraine and is residing in Winnipeg.
She holds a Diploma in Piano Performance and Choir Conducting from the State School of Music in Ukraine, a Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Education and a Masters Degree in Voice Performance from University of Manitoba, Canada.
Victoriya is the recipient of numerous awards, scholarships and distinctions and is an accomplished concert performer.
As well as teaching piano, music theory and voice for the past fifteen years, Victoriya has taught general music (including Orff and Recorder), choir and band in the public school system.
Every year her students participate in local concerts and festivals, and complete the Royal Conservatory requirements at different levels.
Her philosophy is to keep students interested and challenged while having fun learning.

Violetta Kurkurina (Piano) Registration Request

Violetta Kurkurina is a pianist and teacher with extensive training in both performance and pedagogy. She began her musical studies in Ukraine, completing a Diploma in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Mariupol College of Arts, followed by a Bachelor of Arts at Mariupol State University. After moving to Canada, she earned her Bachelor of Music at Queen’s University in Kingston and is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Toronto.
As a performer, Violetta has appeared as a soloist, collaborator, and chamber musician.
She has performed with the Queen’s Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Kingston, as well as at summer programs including Orford Music Academy, Tuckamore Chamber Music Festival, Scotia Festival of Music, and the Ukrainian Art Song Summer Institute. Her artistry reflects both her European musical roots and her commitment to exploring diverse styles and traditions.
Alongside her performance career, Violetta has over three years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and levels as a piano instructor at Long & McQuade. She is passionate about guiding each student to develop solid technical skills, musical expression, and confidence, while fostering creativity and a lifelong love of music.
Violetta's rate is $37.00 per half hour.

With an undergraduate degree from McGill University, Wilfrid has extensive performing experience participating in L'orchestra Francophone Canadian, Toronto Wind Ensemble, North Bay Symphony and the Red Brass Quintet and can also be heard on various albums ranging from folk, classical to pop genres.
Wilfrid currently gives brass lessons in the Markham area, but his teaching experience stems back to 2001 conducting brass clinics and educating students from the elementary to university level. His students have gone on to pursue further musical endeavors such as university education and involvement in various orchestras.

Will’s passion for music started at a young age in 2003 and it has continued to grow ever since. After years of studying he decided to take him drumming to the next level. He attended Mohawk College for Jazz Performance, and then briefly Humber College for Bachelor of Percussion. Will is fixated on being a versatile and complementary player and teacher. He has experience doing live sessions, including a number of genres such as jazz, funk, R&B, hard rock, indie rock, metal, and more. Will has also studied under many renowned players such as: Lorne Nehring, Mark Kelso, Anthony Michelli, Kevin Dempsey, Adrean Farrugia, Sophia Perlman, Ted Warren, Matt Halpern, Navene Koperwies and many more. Will has also recently become an endorser for Murat Diril Cymbals, and this is just one of the many milestones to come.

Yanick earned his Masters degree at Université de Montréal in 2008 specializing in classical guitar. He has been teaching music since 2006 and has always had a great passion for musical education. Yanick has played guitar since the age of 11 and hasn't stopped learning and playing since. His style of music is very global and he is comfortable teaching most music styles. In the classical music category, so far, nine gold medals from the Royal Conservatory of Music have been earned under his guidance. He also got Platinum in Moncton Community Votes 2022 for the Music Lessons category, and “Silver” in the 2023 votes for the Youth Music Lessons category. Yanick will be happy to teach you how to play guitar, bass or ukulele. His rate is $27 per half-hour private lesson.

Yulia graduated with Honours from the Zaporozshky State Music College in the Ukraine and worked as a piano teacher and children’s choir director while taking courses at the Harkov Institute for Music and Arts there. In 2000 she taught piano for the New Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and in 2002 and 2003 was named teacher of the year. Yuliya specializes in preparing students for all levels of RCM exams, Kiwanis festivals, and other competitions. She has been teaching for Long & McQuade since 2004. Yuliya also teaches Music Theory. Zachary Cusson (Violin, Guitar) Registration Request

As early as 3 years old, Zachary began to learn music by taking piano and choir lessons. By the age of 7, he entered an intensive violin program where he gained experience playing solo, in quartets and in orchestras. While continuing to improve on all of these instruments, he also introduced himself to the guitar at the age of 12 and quickly developed a desire to master the instrument, seeking inspiration from classic rock, jazz, blues and experimental genres. As a passionate musician and still in his early teens, he introduced himself to composition, studio production and music theory. Zachary is involved in several musical projects on the local scene, in the creation of film music and collaborates in several artistic projects. In addition, he frequently produces music-related videos for his YouTube audience. Zachary has been teaching since 2015 and advocates the importance of learning while having fun. He stands out but its structured and interactive teaching.
