Julia grew up with music all around her. She began musical ear training at six months old and completed Suzuki Music as a child. Throughout her youth, she would pick up several more instruments, learning to sing and finding her voice alongside her love and a lifelong passion for the whimsical world of music.
Julia completed the Piano Suzuki program and her RCM 10, and ARCT by the time she was 18. She pursued other interests and graduated with a Psychology Degree from The Kings University in 2018, but ultimately returned to music and completed the Piano Performance program at Juilliard in 2020. Julia loves teaching all ages and a variety of instruments. She takes pride in helping students build a solid musical foundation. She loves how music can inspire and support individual expression. Instruction in music production and music play adds to her skill set. Julia strives to connect with every type of student and guide students to their goals and beyond. It's never too late or too early to bring music into one's life. Julia has daytime availability for adults and homeschoolers and a few evening spots left as well. Julia is excited to teach at our Mayfield location. Accepting weekly students, Saturdays are now open.

Kurt is a guitarist and teacher with over 30 years of experience playing music and working with students. He is an active member of several bands, including the acclaimed jazz/world group Eucalyptus. Kurt is very excited to work with students of all skill levels and of any age. Beyond the basics, he can offer specialized instruction in jazz/chord melody guitar, bluegrass and electric country, heavy metal lead guitar/shred, R and B/funk, and improvisation. His approach prioritizes the individual student's learning style and emphasizes the importance of having fun, keeping things lively, and making sure that the curriculum suits current musical interests. Manny has been playing live since 1991 and teaching since 1995. He was the winner of the 1997 Blues Guitar Riff-Off at age 19 and was nominated Best Blues Band at the Doheny Blues Society in California in 1999 and the Maple Blues Awards in 2000. He has played many major blues festivals in Ottawa and New York and has shared the stage with blues legends Otis Rush, Kid Ramos (The Fabulous Thunderbirds) and Dan Aykroyd. Manny has played in several different blues and rockabilly bands over the years. He is comfortable teaching students of all levels, especially those that are interested in lead and rhythm guitar. Marco Castillo was born in the capital of Samba, and after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music at Estácio de Sá University in Rio de Janeiro in 1994, he instantly began touring South America with Brazil’s hottest bands; since moving to Canada, Marco has performed in festivals around the globe, and has recorded and produced many musical projects. Whether it’s his work as a solo artist, his full 8 piece "Brazilian Beats" band, or collaborations with the Winnipeg Jazz and Symphony Orchestras and Ron Paley’s Big Band, Castillo brings a one of a kind show. Castillo’s much appraised Trip to Brazil, (one of his three albums), was awarded World Recording of the Year (2012) in Regina as part of the Western Canadian Music Awards. Marco Castillo was also a finalist for the 2015 Viña del Mar music festival in Chile, one of the most important music festivals in Latin America, which is broadcasted and seen by over 250,000,000 fans around the world. Castillo believes in developing a personalized teaching method for each student since every individual learns differently. Mark discovered guitar at the age of 14. He plays acoustic, electric, lap steel, mandolin, ukulele, bass and bandurria. He has been teaching all ages how to enjoy these instruments for over 30 years. As a young man, he won the Royal Conservatory’s silver medal of Canada in classical guitar. Mark has continued by composing new finger-style works that showcase this training. Mark has always admired artists like Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and old masters like Robert Johnson and Son House. That passion led to a nomination for a Covenant award by the Canadian Gospel Music Association for Best Blues Song, 'Waiting For the Resurrection'.

Matt Martin is a London, Ontario guitar teacher of many stripes; with a diverse background in classical guitar, fingerstyle, flamenco, folk, rock, music theory, songwriting, psychology, education, and music production he dedicates his unique skill set to helping students reach their musical goals and inspire them to go further.
Matt began playing guitar when he was 15 and immediately became a life-long student of effective and efficient learning. Originally inspired by rock guitar virtuosos, he practiced technique endlessly for a year before discovering a new challenge, classical guitar. In less than three years, Matt advanced far enough in classical guitar, music theory, and piano to attend Western University, where he achieved his Bachelor of Music (honors) degree with a minor in psychology.
