Chris has been playing guitar and performing in bands throughout Vancouver and the lower mainland since 1998. Currently teaching at several Long & McQuade lesson Centres, he has been guiding budding and advanced guitar players for over a decade. Chris specializes in rock, pop and heavy metal, and teaches composition on the guitar. He is also the facilitator for the Rock Skool program, uniting youth to create music together. Chris teaches for Edmonton Public Schools as a substitute teacher, Edmonton Catholic Schools as a guitar clinician, and Parkland School Division as a Junior High classroom teacher and Musical Theatre assistant, he has post-secondary training in both Music (MacEwan University) and Education (University of Alberta B.A. English, B. Ed. Science). He has taught, performed, recorded , written, produced, and toured nationally and internationally as a professional guitar player for over 30 years, performing with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Junior Gone Wild, including multiple appearances at the Edmonton Folk Festival both as a singer/songwriter and as a sideman. His teaching approach is student centered, seeking to engage and retain student commitment to the instrument through student led pacing and personal choice in the material covered. Each lesson is unique to the student. Chris has been playing violin and piano since 1983 and has been teaching privately since 1995. He holds Royal Conservatory Grade 10 diplomas for both violin and piano. Chris has played with several local orchestras, including Orchestra London and the University of Western Ontario Symphony Orchestra on violin and viola. He held the position of principal second violin with the Stratford Symphony Orchestra and is a member of various worship teams in the area. Chris enjoys recording for different artists, playing for local bands, and has had his violin playing featured on TV.

Chris Stephenson began his passion for playing drums at the ripe age of 12. At 18 years old, and a recent graduate of high school, Chris began his drumming career as a professional touring/recording artist gaining two JUNO Nominations and over a dozen world tours under his belt, to date.
With his experiences as a professional touring/recording artist and masterclass clinician, Chris is now focusing on his knowledge of theory and application in drum performance towards his first educational book ‘The Rhythm Trees’. Having studied under the likes of Alex Landenburg, Thomas Lang, Chris Coleman, Benny Greb, Matt Garstka and Aquiles Priester, Chris has developed his own approach to drumming in hopes to influence, educate and inspire drummers locally and globally. Christian Malette studied at the Cégep de Saint-Laurent and at the University of Montréal in jazz performance and arranging for large big band type ensembles. Christian took his blues classes with the Quebec bluesman Bob Walsh, accompanying him for more than 10 years. His career has led him to participate in many festivals across Quebec and France. He also accompanied the rocker Marjo for 6 years. You can hear him on the two albums of Marjo and his men Vol 1 and 2. Christian also has his own orchestra with which he performs as a singer and leader. Passionate about his art, he likes to share it with young and old!

Soprano Christine Brandt was born in Kitchener, Ontario. She played the piano for 12 years before she began her studies in vocal performance at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON. While there she sang with the Maureen Forrester women’s choir where she had numerous opportunities for solo work. She received her Bachelor of Music in 2016 with a minor in psychology and has recently completed her Master's Degree at Mannes School of Music in New York City. Christine enjoys sharing her passion for music with others through teaching piano and voice lessons. She has worked with younger children to spark their interest in music through a music starters program. She has also worked with children’s choirs in her hometown of Kitchener.

Christy Vanden is a guitar, drum and vocal teacher with over 8 years of teaching experience, both privately and at the Long and McQuade Lesson Centre in Courtenay. She is a local musician who has played lead guitar and vocals in numerous bands, toured as a solo act and played in the all-female multi-award nominated group, She Could Be Trouble.
She is currently the co-lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Time Well Wasted, and drummer for Oktiv6. Christy has performed multiple times at Filberg Festival, Nautical Days, The Sid Williams Theatre, Sunfest Country Music Fest, and 2024's Vancouver Island Music Fest.
Christy was nominated in the 2022 Comox Valley Record's “Reader's Choice Awards” under the ‘Best Musician’, ‘Best Performer’ and ‘Best Music Teacher’ categories. In his career as chamber musician and orchestral cellist, Colin has played with L'Orchestre Symphonique de Laval, the Thunder Bay Symphony, the Kingston Symphony as acting principal cellist and soloist, at the Ottawa Valley Chamber Music Festival and 'New Music in New Places', and as guest performer for the Scotia Festival of Music.
