2025 Reading Clinic: Get it right from the start!
Once again we are pleased to offer a comprehensive series of sessions featuring new music selections for concert band, elementary classroom, and sacred and non-sacred choirs. We organize our reading sessions with your professional development in mind: our dedicated team strives to choose repertoire for its educational value, originality and overall appeal. With selections appropriate for schools, church choirs and community programs of all ages and abilities, you're certain to find fun and innovative new material to suit your musical needs. Vancouver
Welcome to the original home of Long & McQuade's summer reading clinics. This year, we are presenting our traditional array of choral clinics along with a day long concert band clinic that will be focused on early grade charts appropriate for young and developing bands through Grade 3.
Schedule
Get a chance to hear the latest titles from your favourite publishers, guided by Gillian MacKay. The focus is on early charts from Grade 0.5 – 3. Lunch and snacks included.

Will and Han-Ah will present a wide range of new choral music for secondary and community choirs. This is an all day session that includes lunch and snacks.

Our Clinicians
Gillian MacKay
Gillian MacKay is Professor of Music of the University of Toronto, where she conducts the Wind Ensemble and teaches conducting. Gillian has an active professional career as a conductor, adjudicator, clinician and trumpeter.
Gillian MacKay is presenting the Vancouver Concert Band clinic.
Suzanne Fulton
Besides being the choral director at West Van Secondary, Suzanne Fulton runs several award winning youth choirs throughout the Lower Mainland. Suzanne is also a sought after clinician and adjudicator.
Suzanne Fulton is presenting the Vancouver Elementary Choral & Elementary Classroom clinics.
Will Clements
Will Clements is an active performer, teacher, composer, and arranger. Besides running the choral program at Argyle Secondary, he is an active clinician and helps run the North Van School District Choral Festival.
Will Clements is presenting the Vancouver Secondary Choral clinic, along with Han-Ah Park.
Han-Ah Park
Han-Ah Park has degrees in Music Education and Choral Conducting from UBC, and teaches at Holy Cross Regional High School, and is the choir director at St.Andrew Kim Parish.
Han-Ah Park is presenting the Vancouver Secondary Choral clinic along with Will Clements.
Melanie Adams
Melanie Adams is a well known singer, teacher, and conductor in the Lower Mainland. She has performed opera, been a member of Musica Intima, and is an active member of NATS.
